Beautiful spring day in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The hummingbirds have been very active lately.
Two hummingbirds, one with a brilliant red head, face off around a blue glass feeder

Thanks CFPB! A family member just got their check and is very happy you got this guy (after I reassured them it wasn't another scam).

I did not ask my archive utility to execute arbitrary programs embedded in the archive metadata.

I promise you will never guess how RAR implemented their e8 filter.... They added a bytecode interpreting VM called RarVM, and let you embed little programs for it into archives that the decompressor would automatically execute (!!!). 3/n

Even with good numbers @PGE4Me can't help being deceptive. Per-month per-customer vs totals per-year? $41 vs $1500 yearly insurance is fine. $230M from 5.6M customers is less than 117B fire costs. Do better! 28 more years like this to hit your goal of 10% underground

As of 10/30, 197 miles of powerlines have been undergrounded and energized so far in 2023. The end-of-the-year target for 2023 is 350 miles. Undergrounding essentially eliminates nearly 98% of the risk of wildfire ignition from electrical equipment. pgecurrents.com/articles/3863-…
