We are pleased to welcome Cameron Hamilton as our confirmed Administrator. Under @POTUS & @SecMullinDHS leadership, we are restoring FEMA's original mission — serving as a lean, deployable disaster force that empowers states, tribes & local leaders. ➡️ fema.gov/press-release/…

@POTUS approved disaster declarations for 8 states & tribes, supplementing recovery efforts for recent disasters. These declarations provide federal funding to state and tribal governments that cover eligible costs for emergency work, debris removal & infrastructure repairs.

Dangerous flash flooding from #Edouard is likely across Texas, especially the southeast. Local officials are working to keep people safe. If you are in the affected area: monitor weather alerts, do not go outside until it is safe, and never walk or drive through floodwaters.

10 AM CDT Wed Sep 2 (Advisory 9) Key Messages for Tropical Depression #Edouard. Latest info: hurricanes.gov
    Key Messages:

1. Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph will continue near the center of Edouard for the next several hours.

2. As the depression lifts slowly to the north-northwest, heavy rain bands from Edouard will continue pulling away from the Upper Texas coast and southwest Louisiana over the course of the morning, while slowly tracking across east-central Texas through Thursday morning. Flash flooding is likely across this region, especially in urban areas. Significant to locally catastrophic flash flooding is likely over the Piney Woods area of southeast Texas. River flooding may also be possible.
