It is a huge honour to become Shadow Chancellor for the party I joined as a teenager under Margaret Thatcher. Working as a team, we Conservatives will deliver an economic revolution. We will deliver lower, simpler taxes, get Britain drilling again to bring down energy costs,

In my first week as Shadow Chancellor, we Conservatives have put forward a fully costed plan to increase defence spending to 3%. John Healey resigned because he said that’s what we need. Now he can act, but isn't. Only Conservatives are serious about protecting our country.

A great visit to a world-leading business with Kemi. It’s the innovators, risk-takers, and wealth creators who will grow the economy. Only the Conservatives have a common sense plan for growth, and to unite our country.

🚨 New figures show construction output has fallen again, with a sharp drop in housebuilding starts. There’s been 20 straight months of decline under Labour. Dreadful. Andy Burnham must realise you cannot tax and regulate your way to growth. This is what happens if you try!

Making tough choices to defend our nation is the first duty of government. Today, the Conservative team will set out our funded plan to cut welfare spending and give our armed forces the money they need. It's time to get serious on defence.
