After years of fear, hatred and false-narratives, India is finally waking up again. As an artist the best way I can protest is through my art - making songs. "Uth Jaa India" - is my attempt to stand up with the right and against what's wrong.

From the Red Fort on Independence Day, the Prime Minister of 140 crore Indians stood up and called a section of his own citizens “dimagi naxals”, and ordered them to be identified and isolated. This is not a one-off slip. This is a pattern. Urban Naxals. Khan Market gang.

Maybe this is a first for Chandigarh. Deaf & mute school students came out to protest for basic facilities and better education. They cannot speak. They cannot raise slogans. So they tried to shout, make noise and make themselves heard, hoping that their voices would somehow
