Really excited to announce Root Ventures Fund 4, our new $190M seed fund supporting technical founders working on hard problems with up to $5M at any stage with “seed” in the title. We are so grateful to @EricNewcomer for perfectly capturing our vibe in his article below: 👇

Horse drawn carriages officially now more dangerous than @Waymo. Seriously. Literally. 1 death per 2-3M miles ridden by horse drawn carriage 0 deaths per 200M miles driven by Waymo Say it with me: Won’t someone PLEASE do something about these horse drawn carriages??!??!?

They would treat it the same way we treat Greek mythology, talking about shared culture, fictitious heroes and villains, and the lessons in the story that resonate with a diverse group of followers. The only part I’m not sure about is how serious the Greeks were vs SW fans.

Lot of dunks that this is everywhere, but I bet it’s unique. Confluence of factors: 1) people wear backpacks at high paying jobs 2) proliferation of Michelin star restaurants 3) lax dress code even at nice restaurants 4) nobody drives (backpack has to come with) 5) no shame
