    Great article by @jimwaterson on “How Burnham can curb Britain’s tax-dodging shops” pointing out, amongst many other important points, how easily “identity” can be gamed
    Text from the article: “Talk to those involved in dodgy shops and they laugh at the ease and low cost with which you can start a new company in Britain. The new ID verification for directors, introduced with enormous fanfare by Companies House, is easily circumvented by finding a real person, often a skint international student, willing to declare they own a business in exchange for a few hundred pounds. This poor sap is then left answering the door to HM Revenue & Customs or investigative journalists.”
