That all AI is slops is definitely not an "unpopular opinion". Personally though I think we're beyond the definitive slop phase and with curation it's a powerful tool.
Unpopular opinion:
Does not matter how much AI improves, Astra, Fable 6… anything done by AI without human judgment is AI slop, regardless of how impressive it looks today.
The longest the AI models can work autonomously the more expensive the slop will be
