30 more minutes!
Hi everyone,
30 more minutes!!
We know video uploads have been confusing. Here is how to be sure we have your right video.
Update your video from your Submission page, not your Project page. Once you submit, two separate items exist: your project and your submission. If you visit your projects page, you may still see the old video URL there.
To double check:
- Go to agentsforhumans.devpost.com
- Click Edit project
- Confirm your new video link is there
Sorry for the confusion. Good luck, everyone.

[Recording Available] Agent Speedrun: Ideate β Build β Validate β Deploy
Hey Builders,
The recording from yesterday's Agent Speedrun session is up!
Watch it here: https://youtu.be/vYQpWQgVKs8?si=3PClymHAaAlIphcM
Whether you made it live or couldn't join, this walks through building a customer service agent from scratch with the Strands Agents SDK β adding tools, guardrails, and runtime controls, and deploying it before the session ends.
What we covered:
- What the Strands Agents SDK is and why it's model-agnostic (bring any model, swap freely)
- Bedrock AgentCore as a managed runtime for deployment, memory, and observability
- Building a working agent in one line of code β agent, tools, system prompt
- Hooks β injecting deterministic checksβ¦

[Tomorrow] Agent Speedrun: Ideate β Build β Validate β Deploy
Hey Builders,
Quick reminder β Agent Speedrun Build Session is tomorrow.
You can build an agent in a few lines of code. Getting it production-ready is the part that trips people up. We're closing that gap live: starting from a blank file, building an agent, wiring up what it needs to run for real, and deploying it before the session ends.
Sandhya Subramani (Senior Developer Advocate) is running it live.
When: September 9th at 1PM ET / 10AM PT
Bring your laptop. Come with any questions you have β see you there!

[Correction] Agent Speedrun: Ideate β Build β Validate β Deploy β Sep 9
Hey Builders,
Correcting an error in our last update β wrong session details went out. Here's the right one:
Have you ever built an agent in a few lines of code, only to realize that getting it production-ready is a much bigger job? In this workshop, weβll close that gap. Starting from a blank file, youβll build an agent, give it the tools and runtime controls it needs to operate beyond the demo, and get it running in production before the workshop ends. Bring your laptop. Leave with a deployed agent.

[Live Build Session Sep 9] Agent Speedrun: Ideate β Build β Validate β Deploy
Hey Builders,
How quickly can you go from a brand-new Nebius account to building something? In this lightning build session, we'll start from scratch, make our first API call, connect an AI coding agent to Nebius Token Factory, and live-code a real application. Along the way, we'll swap between different models to tackle vision, reasoning, and coding tasks. You'll leave knowing how to get set up, choose the right models for your project, and ready to start shipping your own hackathon ideas!

Pro tips for your project

Hey there,
Two required pieces that are easy to rush when you're deep in the code: your text description and your public repo. Plus a quick word on using AI tools while you build.
π Text description:
-
Explain what your project does, who it's for, and how it works β plain language, not just a feature list.
-
Lead with the problem. Could a judge tell what you built just from this plus your video?
-
Name Strands Agents explicitly β it's one of the first things reviewed.
π Public code repo:
-
Per the Official Rules: must include "all necessary sourceβ¦

How to actually stand out in Agents for Humans

Hi there,
Β
You registered. You (hopefully) have an idea. Let's talk about taking it from "good enough" to "genuinely stands out." These apply whether you're a seasoned developer or this is your first hackathon.
Β
ποΈSolve a real, specific problem. The strongest projects target one concrete pain β a bill about to go late, a shift a food bank can't fill, a teacher turning one lesson into materials for thirty students. A clear, real problem lands better than a clever demo.
Β

π§ Time to plan your Agents for Humans project

A little planning goes a long way toward a winning project. If you're staring at a blank page, start with the question, not the answer: what small, repetitive thing does a real person deal with that an agent could quietly take off their plate?
π― Here's how to actually get moving:
- Start with the person, not the tech. Write one sentence: "[Who] is stuck doing [what], over and over." Can't fill that in yet? That's your first task, not the code.
- Sketch before you build. Rough out your agent, its tools, and how data moves between them on paper orβ¦
