To Seek Out New Life and Shoot It: Josh Pearce Reviews Hope
Hope, a creature feature from Na Hong-jin (writer/director of The Wailing), starts out really well-probably the best solid sixty minutes of action cinema I’ve seen in quite a while. Then it becomes pretty okay, and then it ends with some truly bizarre goofiness. Carry Me to My Grave by Christopher Golden: Review by Gabino Iglesias
Carry Me to My Grave, Christopher Golden (St. Martin’s Press 978-1-25040-452-7, $29.00, 336pp, hc) July 2026.

Instead, language itself is the target: how mandating a single …Read More

From a near future that tends towards the abstract to one that is almost too specific: but that is the risk of the near future, isn’t it? When the connection to the present is so tangible, a small failure, or dissatisfaction, can loom larger than it otherwise might. …Read More
