graphics/feh: update to 3.13.1
(leaf pkg)
Wed, 16 Sep 2026 20:31:29 +0200 Birte Friesel <derf+feh@finalrewind.org>
* Release v3.13.1
* Improve behaviour of --scale-down in tiling window managers.
Newly loaded images should now no longer flicker.
Mon, 07 Sep 2026 20:27:15 +0200 Birte Friesel <derf+feh@finalrewind.org>
* Release v3.13
* Switch default font from yudit to NotoSans Medium, and bundle its ttf
file with feh. NotoSans has much better Unicode support than yudit,
covering pretty much all of Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts. Note that
it does not support Chinese, Japanese and Korean scripts -- please use
the (not-yet-bundled) Noto CJK font family for those. yudit.ttf remains
present to retain compatibility with users who have hardcoded it in
themes, shell aliases, and feh commands in general.
* Add new "make install" option: install_fonts=0 (default 1) skips
installation of the bundled NotoSans-Medium.ttf and yudit.ttf files
to font_dir. This may be helpful for distributions who wish to introduce
a dependency on a system-wide NotoSans package instead. Note that this
will increase feh's dependency footprint by far more than the single ttf
file it uses, though. You should also make provisions to retain
yudit.ttf where feh expects it (see above).
* The font_path used within "make" can now be overridden from the
commandline.

* Support non-ASCII characters in caption entry mode. Note that feh's
default font lacks proper Unicode support, so many symbols will not
be rendered correctly. This is on the agenda for an upcoming release.

Mon, 06 Apr 2026 21:47:59 +0200 Birte Friesel <derf+feh@finalrewind.org>
* Release v3.12.1
* Update tests to reflect the %f/%F changes implemented in v3.12
Mon, 06 Apr 2026 11:13:12 +0200 Birte Friesel <derf+feh@finalrewind.org>
* Release v3.12
* Disallow %f and %n format specifiers in --action and --info strings;
abort with an error message if those are encountered. Use %F and %N
instead. Rationale: %f and %n do not escape shell-specific syntax and
are thus a security risk when passing untrusted file names to feh. %F and
%N, which have been available since v2.3 (Feb 2012), do escape
shell-specific syntax. Migration path: Replace %f (or '%f') and %n (or
'%n') with %F and %N (without '') in --action and --info commands.
Reported by Paavan Bagla, Archit Goyal, Michael Hurtado, Venkat Nallam,
and Jaden Wang <https://github.com/derf/feh/issues/821>.

graphics/feh: update to 3.11.3
2026-02-19
- Support DOS-style \r\n line breaks when loading filelists. Note that they \
will be saved with UNIX-style \n line breaks regardless of input format. This is \
intentional.
- Fix --action, --info, --title and similar commands hard-coding the maximum \
length of the formatted output to 4095 characters.
