Former Eli Stone star Jonny Lee Miller has been tapped as the lead of the project, a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes who now lives in New York City. Robert Doherty wrote the script and is executive producing the CSB TV Studios pilot with Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly. Michael Cuesta is on board to direct. Following his stint as the title character on the ABC drama series Eli Stone, British actor Miller did an arc on Dexter. He most recently starred in Danny Boyle’s stage version of Frankenstein in London, a role that earned him a best actor Evening Standard Theatre Award. And the simple fact that the CBS think this is a good idea to give Holmes's role to Bendy's co-lead, of all people, leaves me completely speechless.

They told us not to imagine they had such a big pile of offers that they were able to pick and choose, and that they took what they were offered because they needed to pay their bills. Perhaps JLM was in that position too?
And the simple fact that the CBS think this is a good idea to give Holmes's role to Bendy's co-lead, of all people, leaves me completely speechless.
Yeah. The idea of remaking the story, along the same lines, at the same time as Sherlock is airing just seems like commercial madness to me. Although by choosing JLM, it does rather seem like they're trying to cash in on its popularity.
