Just in case, please don't read the following if you haven't seen Series 2 of BBC's Sherlock. Also beware of capslock abuse. And overall lack of coherency.


So as I just said to my friend kis, The Reichenbach Fall was aired for the first time in France yesterday evening on France 4.
Welcome, new details noticed, brand new questions and new mad theories!
And - without making a habit of it - oh, how I'd like to shake hands with the people who translated Sherlock and John's lines (and the people who dub them, while I'm at it).
Just one example: after John punches the Chief Superintendant and is arrested too, for Sherlock's question "Joining me?", we've got "Je te manquais à ce point?" (You missed me that much?) to which John actually replies "Yes..."
Another one? For John's heartbreaking "I was so alone, and I owe you so much." we have: "J'étais tout seul, Sherlock, j'étais tout seul. Tu étais tout ce que j'avais" (I was all alone, Sherlock, I was all alone. You were all I had.)
I know I'm irrevocably and unrepentantly biased to Sherlock Holmes/John Watson in any and all universes but IMHO, the translators and dubbers have made their lines sound even more quite slash-friendly. (Why, yes, the French can be that good, apparently)
In addition, while browsing through the French reviews for The Reichenbach Fall, I've also found no less than 2 reviews of A Scandal in Belgravia saying this version's Irene Adler gives the opportunity to better explore the relationship between Sherlock and John.
And I'm not even mentioning the reviews for The Reichenbach Fall, but it would take several pages XD.
The French: doing their best to make your slash even slashier.
