[091] Video
[Hey look, someone's still here.
It's been a long time since Castiel made a post to the network, and just about as long since he'd even accessed his PCD at all. The ritual's failure had taken a toll on him, not just emotionally--though failing again had been depressing, he also hadn't been super surprised by it--but otherwise as well; by the time he'd recovered enough to start dealing with other people again, he'd found himself reappearing in Adstringendum after a stint at home.
The city looks a bit... Different.
It feels different, too, to senses that had been quiet before his return. The adjustment is overwhelming for just a moment, as his last memories of Adstringendum and the new ones that came from home reconcile, and the first thing he thinks is that he should find the cabin. But angel again or not he's still stuck walking, so he has time to connect to the network.]
I believe I missed something.
[His attention shifts upward, out of frame for a moment, but then he looks back to the screen to continue before something else catches his gaze. This time it's more clear what, shadows shifting unnaturally off toward his left, and the PCD fizzles into static briefly before refocusing about five seconds later sans and shadows that aren't supposed to be there.]
What is going on?

[Angel Radio FUCK YOU CASTIEL DEALWITHIT.JPEG]
I was hoping you could answer that question.
[THIS IS LITERALLY THE FUCKING WORST]
[Angel Radio OW INIAS YOU KNOW HE HATES ANGEL RADIO]
To hear Inias, instead, is so welcome to makes up for the headache.]
Inias, you've returned.
[Angel Radio dEAL WITH IT]
So it seems.
So have other less appealing members of our family.
[Is this a public feed? Obviously.
This is just the amount of fucks Inias gives.]
[Angel Radio ugh little brothers]
[Angel Radio INIAS PLEASE]
[CAN YOU HEAR MY ARMS FOLDING IN DISAPPROVAL
SHE HAS BEEN VERY ALONE IN HER ANGEL-NESS.
SAVE FOR IDK LUCIFER THANKS.]
[Angel Radio omg :(]
[The sheer amount of long suffering in his tone is unbelievable, sister, okay.]
I take it you have managed to escape such thrills, sister.
[Angel Radio]

[AKA Hey bro.]
I'm not controlling the shadows, before you ask.
[audio]
Hello Pitch.
[It's Castiel, so his tone doesn't say much, but there's a hint of warmth to his usual even way of speaking.]
That is good to know, and yet not. At least you could call them off, were they yours.

[ Hi, Cas. Nice to see you again. She was worried but is totally pretending she wasn't since that's her thing. ]

So it seems. Did something prompt this? Is it an event?
no subject
So. It could be an event. This doesn't feel like the typical one though. [ It feels a lot more heavy, a lot more 'serious' than just a regular event. It reminds her slightly of the scavenger hunt; though that had ended in doom and gloom, it at least had a fun start. ]
Thalette said she was trying to hold him back but I don't - I don't think she was holding up too well.

[she drums her fingers on the rubble she's sitting on, trying to recall everything.]
There's a big angry spirit up in that cloud [she half-heartedly gestures with one hand, frowning] who wants people's souls? Some fish-spirit was trying to hold him back but it didn't work and now people are dying.
Oh, and the shadows are trying to attack people, but you've worked that out already. I think that's tied into it too but I haven't been able to work out how - if you can't make a light, keep moving!
[her forced solemnity breaks, normal grin returning. she can't keep serious for long.] Oh, and hi!
Aradia, correct?
[More on the task at hand, though, she's definitely given him the most information of anyone responding as of yet.]
The fish-spirit would be Thalatte.
[And the cloud thing is... The cloud thing. That makes sense, though; a conflict between Animus had caused things like this before, and even if he's not sure if the cloud spirit is an Animus or not it's probably close enough to work the same way.]
Besides the shadows, are there any active threats to avoid?
[Presumably, if people are dying, which is... Not a good thing.]
[she's fresh of the boat, and nobody's told her that a version of her used to be here. luckily it's similar enough to her own timeline woes that she doesn't really question it.
but she appreciates him being to-the-point, mentally noting down the fish-spirit's name herself to make things easier.] Thalatte, got it. That part happened before I arrived so I didn't manage to work out all the details. As for other threats...
[she lets her psionics relax for a moment, and almost immediately a rabid hellcat launches at her face. it doesn't get very far - she telekineticslly grabs it before it can do any damage, holding it within view of the pcd.] As you can see, everything that isn't dead or us has kinda gone nuts! Ontop of that, everything seems to be... dying. Water, plants, any food supplies. It's still a worry even if it' not something that can attack people.
I haven't been able to work out what's killing people yet.

[Lots of people have returned, it seems, not that he's complaining. He always liked Rip, after all.]
no subject
[She's on the fence on whether or not that's a good thing. It's.. Rip's kind of twitchy about it.]

Where the hell've you been, huh?
[Sam's in the cabin, armed and ready for anything to break into the cabin yet again.
There's a big gash on his cheek, and his hand's bandaged. And he's a dog short.
But, y'know. Not so bad, right?
Fuck his life.]

Our world.
I'm on my way to the cabin; I should be there shortly.
[He still has to walk. :(]

Muriel. It seems wrong to say welcome, but...

[Too many conflicting thoughts right now so he's just going to smirk and also fuck you and also he's kinda missed you but really he wants to kill you how about a truce]
I AM THE LATEST curse you school
Just like last time, he feels conflicted about Lucifer's appearance. On one hand, their last go around here had been no where near friendly, but on the other... It's complicated, and it manifests as a muddled mix of emotions that seem to make no sense together. He's pretty used to that feeling at this point, though, and while he response isn't fond or particularly friendly it isn't cold or fearful either.]
So it seems.
Hello Lucifer. It's been awhile.
