Video the Eleventh | Joint Video with Lea (Axel)
[Rose is taking a break from organizing the pieces of scrap metal and glass that will hopefully be the basis for a greenhouse. A greenhouse which is Kanaya's idea of course. Despite her Light status, Rose was not fond of gardening or the outdoors. Addressing the PCD with a slight smirk, she sips at a slightly chipped cup of what seems to be some-sort of tea while she watches her Animus-prescribed buddy work.]
How interesting it is that the Animus have decided to play matchmaker this week after spending their time attempting to have us cull each other for their own amusement only a few weeks ago. I find myself wondering if our companions were chosen at random... or perhaps there might be a yet unknown reason.
[Lea hefts a rusty pipe and tosses her a glance, raising his voice to make sure it registers.]
Probably not unskilled labor. Hey, while I'm stuck here, want anything welded?
At least that would be fun.
[She waves her hand dismissively.]
Ah, you are correct in your assumption. That was probably not their intention, but it is a rather fortunate coincidence.
Fortunate, right. Hey, Roxas, Xion, Hanna! How are you guys holding up?
[He sets the pipe back down with the rest of the scrap metal and props a hand on his hip.]
Come visit. We're building a, uh... [he raises his eyebrows dubiously at the half-sorted materials] … something.
Indeed, a something. Perhaps even a greenhouse. To be used to agricultural cultivation through the winter months. But, “something” is also an apt description.
[She leans over to shut the PCD feed off before Lea can invite any other unwanted guests to her home.]

[He nudges the scrap metal heap with a toe.] Look, you're sure you don't want me to weld anything? Melt a little glass, maybe?
All this sorting is giving me a cramp in my neck.
[offline]
You could take a look at the blueprints, if you have the ability to read them. I lack that particular talent.
[offline]
-- Okay, so maybe I'm not the best construction worker.
[offline]
I was wondering how you were going to melt glass or weld metal with no forge or welding equipment.

[And, back to normal tone,] It looks like you guys are doing okay. But I'm not sure what the Animus have planned either.
[Lea's never met the guy, after all, and while Roxas can take care of himself, it still sets Lea's teeth on edge to have him stuck with a total stranger for... what, a week now? Nearly a week. He shakes his head.]
-- Hey, I don't know, but this one seems all right so far.
And we're fine. We're staying in this house with a few other people I've never met before. It belongs to someone Sora's fought before back in our universe, but I don't think they're the same person, exactly. 'Sephiroth?'
-- Sephiroth? I think I've talked to him here before, but. Wait. Sora fought him back home? When?

You're making him work? Well, I guess this arrangement is working out pretty well for you.
[His own buddy is pretty laid back, Jane isn't much of a handful at all, thankfully.] I'm just happy I wasn't buddied up with Pitch or something.

I was bored.
[His cheerful expression sours at Hanna's last comment, though, and he glances briefly away.] Yeah, that's a good thing....
no subject
[He beems at Lea, happy about it at least.] Jane and I are going to help Vriska.

There are far worse activities to be indulging in than manual labor.
[A soft laugh.]
Yes. Or Crowley. I do not know who would be worse.
no subject
I don't think I've actually talked to him...Pitch and I aren't really on speaking terms though, so pretty sure he'd be worse, at least for me.
no subject
I shall make sure he is adequately nourished and hydrated.
[She bites the corner of her lip, hesitating.]
... At least in there, we were all without our powers.
