001 [accidental audio]
[there's some scratching and fumbling noises first, like someone's trying to pick up the PCD and is having trouble doing so. Then a woman's voice is heard, sounding extremely tired and possibly hungover] What the...[a heavy sigh] Kenz, those are supposed to be for emergency use. You weren't s'pose to tranq me like the family dog before you head out on vacation.
[she groans, sighing] For crying out--KENZI! Where the hell's my pho--
[it's possible she's just fully opened her eyes now, realizing she's not wherever she was before] Shit. Shitshitshit. [there's more fumbling then, as if she's looking for something] C'mon c'mon where the hell is--[her voice takes on a hysterical edge, suddenly, although from the way she's breathing it sounds like she's trying to retain some calm] KENZI WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?

Animus...[she laughs, though it sounds exhausted and off kilter] Yeah, sure. Tell the Morrigan I'm really not in the mood for her little games right now, I've got enough shit on my plate without dealing with hers. [she's too worried, too exhausted from everything going on, for her mind to catch up to the fact that he would know her name if he were one of Evony's lapdogs]

[But that sounds like a title and he can glean enough from that to respond accordingly.] You're likely a bit outside her jurisdiction here in Adstringendum.

[it takes a beat for all of that to process--that she's not home, that this isn't Limbo again,that...]
What the hell is this place?
no subject
The end result of inexperienced portal jumpers mucking about with things they don't quite comprehend. Several worlds smashed together to create one abysmal wasteland.

[Because it's not like it's obvious or anything with all the yelling.]
[Audio]
[Bo doesn't care to keep the sarcasm out of her voice. She's trapped, her friends are god knows where, and she's only got three of those damn shots to keep her from turning into even more of a freak than she already is]
[Audio]
[Yeah, Jenny's not hiding her sarcasm either. It's been a long week for her.]
And I take it Kenzi's a friend of yours? Need help looking around for her? I can't guarantee she's here. Actually, if we stick the usual, she's probably not, but I'm willing to help out if I can.
[Jenny takes on a more or her usual energetic tone.]
I'm Jenny by the way. Pleasure!
[Audio]
[She's quiet for a second then, swallowing audibly because Kenzi....] Kenzi is...a lot more than a friend. She's my sister. [she's never said that outloud, but it's true--she's more family than Aife or the Dennis', anyway] And I'm pretty sure she'd have shown herself the second she heard me. She always...[she cuts off, because that hurts, and that emotion is too close to anger and she can't let herself get too angry, not now] Anyway, you'd know if she was here because all booze and half your valuable would be gone.
[she sighs] Bo. Yeah, uh, nice to meet you, Jenny. So, how long am I going to be stuck in this...place?
[Audio]
A pleasure Bo, and I wish I could tell you, but in my experience here, you're stuck here until you get sent back home. I wish I could tell you otherwise, but I'm not about to lie to you about it.
[Audio]
Thanks. I've had way too many people lie to protect me, the honesty's a nice change. [she huffs] Doesn't change the fact I am going to be in some serious trouble if I'm stuck here more than a few days, though.

So, uh, have you been given the lowdown on this place yet? [ Because, man, fuck if she can explain anything. ]

So, welcome! Though I don't think you're really too happy about being here. I don't think many people are, really.
no subject
'Not happy' would be putting it real damn lightly. I was already on a bit of a tight deadline for some pretty heavy stuff back home as it is.
no subject
[ Her eyebrows raise at the mention of a deadline. ]
Important things going on back home? Well, you may be lucky and get out of here sooner than you think!
no subject
[Bo huffs, shaking her head]
Never had real great luck, and this would be a pretty shocking time for that to change. What's the average sentence here seem to be, anyway?

[Unimpressed. She is nice enough, but given recent events, she is less likely to be her usual sunny self when people won't calm down enough to get the explanation they are demanding.]
no subject
Trying. I don't actually like spazzing out like this, but there's kind of a lot of extenuating circumstances right now that mean this is actually pretty flipping calm for me right now.
