Mole Check-In
On Monday morning, when Sukuyo awakens in her room, the following letter can be found in a conspicuous location on her desk.
Mrs. Mankanshoku,
I have no doubt that your family needs you; while I can't terminate the exercise early without due process being followed in order to do it, what I can offer you is some degree of security or comfort for the duration.
I'm willing to grant you whatever you ask for – if it's material items you want, if they're available to me I can try to obtain them for you; if it's information you're seeking, regarding either this situation or the situation back home, I can offer you that as well. As long as it's within reason, I'll give you whatever you ask for.
However, nothing comes for free; in exchange for these favors, I'll ask you to give me something in return. It's nothing terrible, just a bit of information – if someone is talking about causing trouble or otherwise interfering with the exercise, or if they're deviating terribly far from some sort of normal routine, I would like to know about it.
I'm willing to help you get through this and see your family again. If you believe that to be worth it, I'll look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Just leave letters in the box at your convenience; once per week would be preferable.
Do consider this offer carefully; it's not one that I would extend to most.

Conductor-san,
Thank you for your kind offer! Stuff doesn't interest me, but my need for information is very specific: is my family alright? You've been implying some very bad things to the others, Conductor-san! Are all of our families alright? I know I can't tell the others how I know this, but knowing for sure would make comforting them much easier!
I'm not sure what information I can give you, or if it'd even be valuable; I can only tell you what these old ears hear! The only person right now who seems like he'll cause trouble is Rick-san; he wants to find parts to build a gun! Even if it's a gun that shoots portals instead of bullets, it still seems very untrustworthy to me! That's all I know right now, but I'll keep my eyes and ears open!
Also, if it's not too much to ask on top of all this, could you please heal Cabanela-san? It's very sad that he's injured so horribly! It must be very hard to exercise with a broken arm!
Sincerely,
Sukuyo Mankanshoku

First of all, if the vending machine exists to make people very upset and uncomfortable, you're doing a very good job with it! Though, sending Logan-sama a bunch of things Reaver owned seems very mean! His poor heart is struggling to recover from this great loss, and you just keep making it worse!
There was a meeting this week, to discuss all the information we know so far! Everyone thinks that you can hear us anyway, so you might already know this, but everyone appreciates a personal touch, I think!
Mostly it was complaining. Nobody likes how cagey you are, and how you let some people have things they ask for but ignore other people. They're also convinced you're not in charge of this, which makes me wonder-- am I reporting to you, Conductor-san, or am I reporting to the people who really run this place?
There's also going to be patrols at night, since everyone wants to prevent another death. Please don't punish anyone who does this; it comes from a very pure place in their hearts! We all just want to go home.
If you can, in addition to my family, please make sure Ryuuko-chan is okay. She's a very capable girl, but I've been worrying about her ever since I remembered she existed!
Sincerely,
Sukuyo Mankanshoku

Your information is greatly appreciated, and I'm glad that you're willing to continue to write to me despite the concern that I may be currently trying to be cruel to the lot of you. I have no control over what comes out of the machine when; whatever
SoveLogan may be receiving is unfortunate, but there isn't much I can do about it, unfortunately. What I offer to people is often a matter of necessity moreso than anything else, though sometimes I suppose what I deem to be necessary doesn't exactly mesh with other people's thoughts on the matter. It's not that I'm ignoring others, per se, as it is that they're asking for things that I can't grant them, either because what they're requesting is largely unnecessary, provided for elsewhere in the facility, or simply not possible for me to obtain. In the second circumstance all I can really do is ask them to have patience; in the first and the third...well, there isn't much I can do either way. I can confirm that you're reporting to me, though, for what it's worth.
Don't worry, no one is going to be punished for the nightly patrols, though I'm glad that you told me about them; the possibility of increased Participant presence at night has been duly noted.
Your request to check on the safety of Miss Ryuuko as well as your family has likewise been noted; I can imagine that it's not easy for you to be so far from all of them, on top of everything that's happening here. I don't have much family of my own, but I did at one point, and I'm sure that I would be curious as to what happened to them at the very least despite not being particularly close to any of them; I can only guess at what it would be like for someone so close to their loved ones.
As far as I can tell, nothing has befallen them since you were brought here.

There was another meeting this week! Ashley-chan is emerging as a little leader in her own right, and I'm very proud of her! She seems to be really good at getting information out of you, and the others have definitely noticed that.
It seems like gathering information is all people are concerned about, though Dio-san and Logan-sama seem to be planning to physically attack you during the trials! They think that, maybe, someone who's already going to be executed could try to break the glass. They also want to break down the door, but know they don't have the ability to do that right now.
Hibiki-chan thinks the kitchen is the key, and that hiding in there would be a way to catch you, but Logan-sama and Dio-san are afraid the punishment for breaking the rules would be death.
If I'm gonna keep working for you, Conductor-san, I just need to know one thing for sure: are you working for the Life Fibers? If you are, I won't be able to keep doing this! I hope you're willing to be honest with me, just like I've been honest with you!
Sincerely,
Sukuyo

Thank you for your information; it's greatly appreciated, as always, and I'll bear all of that in mind. It admittedly wouldn't be the first time that people have tried to attack me during a trial, and it didn't end well for the last person who attempted, so discouraging that particular course of action might be for the best for all parties involved.
As for the Life Fibers...I admit that I'm another person who hadn't heard of anything like that before you mentioned it, so it's entirely safe to say that I don't work for them. Might I ask you more about them...? I'm assuming that's why you were burning your clothes, but otherwise I'm unaware of them.

Dear Conductor-san,
Everyone is very focused on the shadows! They've figured out that light hurts them, but don't know anything else about them. They also think that you have to be working for a demon of some kind, if you're not a demon yourself! We all have different ideas on how to fight demons, but I don't think anyone took my salt suggestion seriously. So, if you're really hurt by salt, you dodged a bullet!
Dio-san is planning on bringing his coffin into the trial room and using it to break the glass in the middle of the podiums! I think that would set the shadows free, which I don't think you'd want. So, if you see that, make sure the glass is extra strong that day!
Sincerely,
Sukuyo

she can't give up the ghosts. she can't betray them twice.]
Your little pet shadows got out and killed Logan-sama! It's not fair and it's against the rules! How are we supposed to keep playing this game if something like that can just happen to someone?Conductor-san,
I don't have anything. Nobody's talking. There's no plans going on. We're all just scared. Everyone's scared.
I don't think I can do this anymore. I'm scared.
