Participants must be a student in grades 7-12. The project must not have been worked on prior to the start of the event. Participants must abide by the following rules and code of conduct:

1. 0-tolerance policy for any sort of harassment, bullying, discrimination, or other inappropriate behaviour.

2. Any reports of rule-breaking are to be notified to an organizer via Discord DMs or email. Anyone who breaks these rules will be disqualified from the competition (along with their team) and banned from the server.

3. The final project must be worked on/created from 6:30p.m., June 11th to 4:00p.m., June 12th EST. Winners will be announced in the evening of June 12th.

4. Teams can use an idea they had before the event, but all work on the final project must be completed during the hacking times.

5. Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Code must not be copied, and external sources must be cited/referenced.

6. Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers' discretion. Reasons may include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules or other unsporting and inappropriate behaviour.

7. Note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, shipping and handling may be delayed. Although our team is trying our very best to send swag out to all our hackers, one’s eligibility to receive swag depends if they submit a hack during the event.
