All submissions must be made through Devpost by the deadline to be considered.
- Open to student participants of all skill levels (age 13+)
- Individuals or teams up to 8 people are welcome to participate.
- Participants from all countries are eligible unless prohibited by local laws or regulations.
- Projects must align with one of the challenge categories: Energy & Sustainability, Health & Well-being, Technology & Innovation, or Wild Card.
- Submissions must include:
- A project description outlining the problem, solution, and bio-inspired design elements.
- A prototype, wireframe, or proof-of-concept (this can be software, hardware, or a presentation).
- A video pitch (2-5 minutes) explaining your project and its impact.
- A README or documentation explaining how the project works.
- All work must be original and created during the hackathon.
- Use of open-source tools or libraries is permitted but must be credited.
Projects will be judged based on the following criteria:

Biomimicry Innovation (30%)
- How well does the project draw inspiration from nature?

Impact and Relevance (25%)
- How effectively does the project address the chosen challenge?

Feasibility and Scalability (20%)
- Can this solution be realistically implemented and scaled?

Design and Functionality (15%)
- Is the project well-designed and user-friendly?

Presentation and Communication (10%)
- How clearly and effectively is the solution communicated?
Judges will review submissions and select winners based on the above criteria. Winners will be announced 24 hours after submission.
