Well, THAT only took 1148 pages. (That link is to Monday's very, very big Penny & Aggie spoiler. Not that anybody I know is still reading P&A.) I cannot wait to see what craziness this will produce on TV Tropes and various comic blogs and things. Probably more craziness than the whole kidnapping/suicide plot last fall did, since the internet is more excited by romance than well-crafted psychosis.
Actually, maybe it's just that it's more socially acceptable to get excited by romance than by well-crafted psychosis, and to talk about romances in specific, detailed ways. I remember how badly I wanted to talk to people about last fall's plot and no one was interested in talking about it as a piece of clever writing. Meanwhile, I guarantee that shippers will be analysing things like the angles of their hands in today's page. Ah, shippers.
Of whom I am one. Sort of. I try to make a point of not shipping Republicans with anybody, but I will make an exception, because she is not really a Republican at heart. Shh. I will squee even as I lament that this isn't T's best writing.

Though I hadn't read today's yet; the day off work is throwing me off my game. Hm.
Is it jumping the shark when the two leads become romantically involved? I kind of instinctively feel that it is. Hrm.

My money's on them not becoming romantically involved, or at least not right away -- a big part of the draw of P&A (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PennyAndAggie) is wondering about their relationship, so if they get together, the hook is gone. I bet this is just going to be used as an excuse to crank up the tension of the "will they or won't they." Which could be awesome or it could be shark-jumping.

I guess I'll wait to see where this goes. I just really didn't think this would end up happening.
P&A is still totally one of my favorite active comics <3

Yeah, I look forward to P&A more than I do almost any other comic -- the only thing I check before it these days is Other People's Business.
