For some reason, I can't seem to ssh into the Ubuntu system. It just hangs. Never experienced this before.

My wife's little sister, who is special needs, wants to attend a community college (well, not technically a community college, but it's a special program connected to a well-known Utah-based university.)

Her family doesn't want to buy her a laptop or other computer.

My wife is headed to Utah next month to spend time with family. I'm preparing an #Ubuntu #Linux system to donate to her little sister.

Education is crucial in life. I'll always support (to the best of my ability) efforts to better one's knowledge and skills.

One feature I would like added to the #GLiNet #CometPro is #IPv6 support in the web UI.

The device runs a version of #Linux that supports IPv6, and sets a link-local address up.

That means the only thing that's missing is the web UI integration (there for IPv4 already, so shouldn't be difficult to implement.)

The Comet Pro KVM we ordered came in. It's working just fine and dandy with our #HardenedBSD storage server.

Hey @geerlingguy, I have a bunch of USB Type-C PD devices. I'm wondering about using some sort of powered USB hub that delivers PD independently to each port. Do you have any suggestions? Happy to use an affiliate link if you have one.

(I'm wanting to power multiple gl-inet comet pro devices in a rack full of older servers that do not support USB Type-C).

Anyone else annoyed that the abbreviation "crypto" was appropriated by the cryptocurrency folks?

My aging brain keeps thinking of "crypto" as cryptography. Told my boss that there's a lot of crypto in this codebase hours ago, but that could mean something entirely different to him.

Gonna carve off a few hundred bucks to get three GL.inet Comet Pro KVMs for the #HardenedBSD development infrastructure. The iDRAC in these servers is ancient, don't even support TLSv1.2. So having a more modern option will help, especially after the boot loop issue this morning during a failed upgrade.
