CHARLIE "GREY" MIDDLETON
he was all teeth and from his hands dripped paint like blood

JAR ⊗ A native son of Catskill, Charlie 'Grey' Middleton left in his early twenties to try to find work in Albany. When his prospects didn't pan out, and with the death of his mother, he returned back home to put things right. Some of it paperwork, some of it nightmares from his childhood that he could never quite face. A writer and a hobbyist painter, he often lurks around town people watching and looking for some arcane connection to who the fuck knows.

JEREMY MCCASTOR
he wasted the hours while everything else laid waste to him

PROPHECY ⊗ Jeremy McCastor moved to Catskill a few years ago after growing up in Burlington. The 'big city' was never really his style despite being from one, and after long deliberation, he found himself settling in the quaint little town of Catskill. One of the local police officers, he's well known and well loved by most people. Lately he's been looking a little sickly, though- something is eating away at him and he could probably use some time off.

ELIAS COPPERSTONE
he haunted the town like a ghost until his dead caught up with him

GRAVEYARD ⊗ Elias Copperstone is another native son of Catskill, and one of the youngest members of the local police force. He's effectively Jerry's partner, and the two are often seen together. A bit of a joker and a boy next door type, he has yet to experience the horrors that lay in store for him. At this point, he has yet to become a depressive alcoholic.

JACOB KROSS
his fingers scraped against the door that would not let him in

DOOR 201 ⊗ Jacob Kross does not actually live in Catskill. He lives nearby, in the slightly smaller not-town of Center Rutland. But since Center Rutland is really just a collection of houses along route 4, he makes his work in Catskill. A local store owner, he runs the only car repair joint in town. If you need parts for your vehicles or any kind of body detail work done, you call up Kross' Crushed Cars. He does not actually have crushed cars, nor does he crush them, he just liked the sound of the name.

SERENA KAY
she locked everything away but still all hidden it escaped

PAINT ⊗ Serena Kay is the last scion of one of the founding families of Catskill. She runs the only art gallery in town, located near one of the swamps; though really the gallery is just her own house. Painted black and set up to be dreary, she regrets her younger phase where she was a tortured bleak artist. She is a painter herself, but hasn't done much since the death of her brother. Instead she holes up with the paintings her family created, trying to keep all their dark secrets at bay.
