If you're being linked to this letter for an exchange, know that this is my catch-all letter for all exchanges, which serves as a somewhat-comprehensive index of all my likes and DNWs and so on, and I didn't write an exchange-specific letter for whatever reason. Still, this should be a thorough explanation of my interests if you're in need of it, though bear in mind that whatever I gave you in the signup box on AO3 should be sufficient without reading all of this, too.

DNWS

• Regarding blood, gore, torture, etc: Nail torture, water torture, skinning/flaying as torture (fine as scarification or other procedure), amputation, decapitation, snuff, excrement-related torture, slasher-flick levels of blood and gore (ie: shock value gore)
• Explicit monogamy (ie, lines like "you're the only one for me", anything else that implies this character only loves one person and only ever intends to love one person. This is not a hard DNW and thus is not included in my signup boxes, but I'd generally prefer if you can, to avoid this kind of thing!)
• 2+ characters fighting over a single love interest (ie: love triangles played straight) (fine if not dwelled on and it resolves in polyamory)
• Bodily gas (queefing, farting, burping)
• Corpses in rigor mortis - brief mentions fine, but details about it are very not fine
• Cruelty toward non-sapient animals (rote harm, such as hunting and fighting, is fine)
• Downer realism - ie bringing in real-world events and issues, portraying tropes in "realistic" but unfun ways
• Hanahaki
• Infidelity/cheating wherein the cheating party is vilified - fine if no moral judgement is passed
• Jealousy/possessiveness as romantic/desirable in the context of a healthy relationship (fine if the relationship is unhealthy, there's yanderes, the character doing it is villainous/abusive, or if these things are just roleplayed by the characters for kink reasons)
• Kidfic (accidental child acquisition tropes are fine, just nothing in the direction of "marriage and babies ever after")
• Menstruation in detail (mentions are fine)
• Miscarriage (mentions of the past are fine)
• Mundane AUs or OW settings, unless requested
  • If the setting was fantasy to start with, don't take that away from it. You can use modern/etc tropes and setting pieces with the fantasy elements and that's also fine!
  • Does not apply to art
  • Does not apply to kink-focused AUs, such as BDSM AUs (I very much like mundane-setting BDSM AUs, and on the other hand I don't especially like biologically-assigned BDSM AUs, but it's not a DNW)
  • Obviously does not apply to canons with mundane settings to start with
• Non-canon major character death (unless requested)
• Pregnancy as a major plot focus (good and fine for kink, but I prefer it to not be particularly realistic)
• Sad/miserable endings (hentai-standard bad ends and horror-standard bad ends are always welcome)
• Soulmates and related tropes, to include red string of fate, mating for life, "one true love", permanent marking/imprinting, basically anything with elements of destined partners and such
• Suicide mentions, ideation, or ultimatums (OK if canon, in the distant past, or unintentional in the sense that the character has a "death wish" but isn't "suicidal")
• Unclean or unsanitary descriptions or kinks (poor hygiene, bodily excrements, general filth, unpleasant body odor, etc)
• Fuck-or-die scenarios as a physiological imperative, due to magic/drugs/sex pollen/heat for instance (okay as an external ultimatum)
• Ageplay (as roleplay) - actual underage or age gap is fine
• Anal pregnancy (eggs or parasites are fine)
• Armpit kink
• Details of live pregnancy/birth - no restrictions on eggpreg/parasites/etc, and live pregnancy is fine when glossed over/unrealistic
• Extreme underage (IE prepubescent characters in / content) - does not apply in cases of adult characters being magically age-regressed. In general with underage content, I prefer handwaving character ages to using specific numbers.
• Flaccid play
• Foodplay (anything from whipped cream on nipples to feederism/etc)
• Foot fetish
• Corrective rape
• Inflation (cum inflation and large insertions are fine, eggs are fine, non-sexual fluids/air/etc are not)
• Mammalian birthing (fine if not detailed)

WRITING STYLE NOTES

• You are welcome to use the honorifics, titles, and other naming conventions from the original work's language, if you find that translating those things reduces the nuance in your work. You are also welcome to translate them to English to better flow with your writing. I find both options valid and will not be bothered by your creative decision on the matter!
