Standing at a height of 165cm (5'5), Wenji is slim and of a decent height for a young woman with fair skin and long brown hair that she ties in three looped braids. Her eyes are usually shown as silver/gray-brown, and she's seen with a gentle smile on her face. She's seen wearing many layers over her dress, a fully covered outfit that is a stylised gown for her country of origin, in shades of white, purple and blue (which also denote her alliance to Wei). The gold accents and jewelry show her status as a noblewoman, and she exposes very little skin, dressing conservatively and modestly. She also seems to have slim, but strong arms, considering the weight of the konghou harp she carries and battles with, and her outfit carries a lot of imagery related to the moon, which is said to be in reference to her time as a captive.
