So. Um. Infinity.
The ticket I got was blind -- I gave my sister's friend a price range and said, "Get me what you can." So third row, but dead last seat on the right. I was a little unsure about this at the beginning because it was a pretty extreme angle on the stage, but it turned out to totally not matter enough for me to care.
I wrote out notes, but they degenerated very quickly into brief sentences and hearts. The short version? I want this show and I want it NOW, or at least a CD recording, and there are no words for how sad I am that this is exceedingly unlikely to ever happen (can we at least get it on iTunes, Hankyu? please? ♥).
It starts out with Mattsu in a grey tailcoat lined with pink, and then the rest of the cast comes on stage (also in pink), and I couldn't but think, "Dear Mattsu, you're not in Hanagumi anymore ..." I wasn't sure what to expect with the tag of "Bow entertainment"; it turned out to be more of a revue than anything else, which was totally fine by me.
I had no idea who Satsuki Aina was, but she turned up quite a bit. Lots of Hime (how did I never realise what adorable comical faces she makes? ♥) and Ayucchi, and several other musumeyaku had their moment in the spotlight (
tsuki_gumi will be pleased to know that Ami-chan got a duet with NagiShou -- and was in front of me for a lot of the group numbers, and looked quite good). On the otokoyaku side, there was of course lots of Mattsu and Koma and Kingu and Shou, but again, several others got a turn too. I need to sit down when I get home and actually write out the set list, since I got the programme. But ugh, so many pretty pretty voices and so much shiny and dancing. *_*
The penultimate song is an a capella number and was just gorgeous. There are a few other songs I want in audio so I can listen to them over and over, most notably this solo matador number of Mattsu's. There were familiar tunes (Aoi Hoshi no Uede, Too Darned Hot, and Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps are three that had me grinning like a fool ... which okay, I was doing through most of it) and some completely unfamiliar ones -- such as this hysterically funny number with Mattsu as a bored maharaja that goes into an almost nightclub tune. There was a lot of crack. XD I recognised ANJU and Wakao Risa in the choreographer section, but not the other two names offhand (also something to do when I get home).
And that's about as much coherence as you're getting out of me tonight. What I spent to see this show was totally worth it, and I wish I could do so again, but sadly that's not happening.
At least I have Ocean's 11 in Tokyo to look forward to tomorrow. ♥_♥ Even if that means it's almost the end of the trip. But not thinking about that; shiny thoughts! And an early morning to catch the shinkansen. Hopefully no one decides to take a 2:30am shower and wake me up again. T_T
ETA cause I fail at names go me.
