RULES
( 01. ) be amazing to one another.
Be friendly towards one another. Be welcome. Use the communication tools at your disposal to discuss potential problems, be courteous, be mature. We won't tolerate wank, ooc aggression, trolling, or bullying of any sort. If any of these things do occur, do not hesitate to involve a mod.
( 02. ) mind the roleplay etiquette.
Basically, no infomodding, godmodding, metagaming, charactercesting. No fourth walling, respect ic =/= ooc. Stay in character, respect other people's character limitations, read their permissions (if posted) and don't be offended if they ask you to rework/redact a tag. Tag your triggering content, warn for spoilers, have an opt-in/opt-out post where applicable. This is just another way to be amazing to one another and to make this a fun, inclusive experience for all.
( 03. ) be active.
While this game is small and slow, and the activity requirements are very low, we do still ask that you be active. Character squatting is not allowed. There is no shame in dropping, we've all done it, but it can be very trying on a cast to have an unresponsive cast member floating off in spaaaace. If concerns are raise about your activity, you will be contacted and matters discussed. Each separate activity cycle in which concerns are raised will be considered a strike.
( 04. ) posting formats.
Please abide by the posting guidelines noted below.
All network posts should be featured in the main community,
All log posts should be featured in the log community,
Any and all OOC notices (hiatus, drop, intro, etc.) should be featured in the OOC community,
You will have two character tags in each community, please tag your posts correctly, with more information on tagging available in the FAQ.
( 05. ) age restrictions.
While Check In is not specifically catered to sex or horror, it will likely include both of these aspects. Gratuitously. For this reason, we will not accept any players under the age of 18.
( 06. ) strikes & removal.
'Cause it's one, two, three strikes you're out of the old ball game! But for reals, we don't tolerate any bad behavior. Three instances of minor rule breaking, and you're out. Mods reserve the right to remove players without additional strikes if they prove toxic to the roleplay environment. If you've concerns about a player apping into the game, please feel free to contact the mods and discuss their history and reputation. They will be removed at mod discretion.
