"When I was a little girl," said Una, "I was convinced that God was German."
Who: Una Persson, Antoine "Trip" Triplett (closed)
What: So this Hydra thing (follow-up to their conversation here)
Where: The courtyard
When: Backdated, taking place after the abovementioned conversation
Warnings: TBD
Ten minutes later, Una made her way down to the courtyard, wrapped in her coat and wearing her beret as usual. She felt oddly cheered by the prospect of trouble (human trouble, not the supernatural kind) in their midst, and a bit guilty at that improvement in her mood. She was conscious of limiting the spring in her step as she opened the door to the courtyard. The fellow she was meant to meet was probably going to be hard to miss.

His head lifted from having stared at the ground in thought. He made eye contact with a fiercely determined gaze that softened. "I'm Trip. I think my tablet has me listed as Antoine Triplett," he offered in his usual low pitched timbre.

"Una Persson," she says, extending her hand. "Thank you for meeting me."

He captured her hand with as much strength as she met his with. It was what he'd been taught since a boy to do as a sign of respect. Great Aunt Peggy had always been very vocal of not treating a woman like a dainty flower or being a brute but finding the middle ground.
"Anything I can do to keep people safe out of Hydra's grasp," he returned her thanks with a nod. "What is it you'd like to know?"

"I want to know how worried we have to be," she said. "And perhaps a little more about our friend with the 'dark chapter' in his life." You could almost hear the inverted commas around the words. "You seem to be acquainted."

His hands returned to the pockets of his jacket, pulling it closed by pushing his hands together while in the pockets--keeping some of the damp weather off of him.
"The symbol was obviously Hydra but I'll guess we'll have to see if it's just a faction here or if they're really behind this place," he stated with conviction. His confidence didn't waiver at continuing on about Ward. "You should definitely watch out for Grant Ward. He spent a year with a team; earning their trust, getting them to like him, and sent two of their most defenseless people to their deaths. He's got a LOT of atoning to do before he'll get me to believe he's no longer Hydra."

Una posed a good question, one that Trip had thought about since meeting with Barton on arrival and being explained the timelines. "The earth was recently under alien attack when we didn't have any confirmed contact with beings outside our planet. Yet Hydra's messed with alien artifacts and who knows what else. ...Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they haven't partnered up with another--or several others--also bent on global domination."

"In that case," she said out loud, "I shall have to be on the lookout for certain bad actors from my own worlds—world. Men who are themselves adepts in metatemporal matters, and who would be more than happy to ally themselves with people like Hydra."

"Depends on when you ask me," she said. "At the moment, I'm between jobs, as it were, but when I'm working, I've associates with a wide range of experience across different fields. Scientific, military, the like. Nothing so formal as your SHIELD."

"I think we're all between jobs right now," he joked lightly. "But I get it. Any insight'll be helpful."
