CATCH-ALL ??? Where am I?
WHO: Edward Nygma & YOU
WHAT: He just got here, but he's a quick learner. I have a starter prompt here, but I'm also happy to put up individual starters, plot with me on plurk or hit me up via pm!
WHEN: Nov 12th and onwards
WHERE: The magnetic poetry room and potentially elsewhere.
WARNINGS: None yet, other than Gotham spoilers.
When Edward first walks into the room, he is naturally taken aback. His first reaction is to go back where he came from and when that doesn't work, he ends up standing in the room rather forlornly, at least for a few seconds.
Then he takes notes of the items gathered around and, first of all, starts to inspect the communication device. A smartphone is a lot more advanced than any technology a Gothamite would usually have access to, but Edward has a certain amount of tech savvy to fall back on plus an unhealthy amount of curiosity paired with a superior intellect. As such it doesn't take him long to read through the guide, find the network and start to get a vague idea of what is going on.
Not that it makes all that much sense. But if there is no logic he can discern, there must be a pattern he can't make out yet. With that in mind he inspects the items that have been laid out in wait in him.
•A green spandex unitard with question mark applique
•A "Guess Who" game, featuring the likenesses of the Clock inhabitants
•A bag of "Mystery Flavour" jelly beans
He looks around the room before bending down to inspect them more closely, carefully pocketing the bag. He'll need a microscope, no, a fully equipped lab to deal with them properly. The game is intriguing as well, especially since there are two faces he actually recognises.
What to make of the unitard he really doesn't know, but it did get his colour and theme right, so there is that.

He hurries to the door, abandoning his strange gifts to focus on her. "It's very nice to see you here. A relief." The bruises, the way she reacts to him, calling him Mr. Nygma. He can put two and two together, even if it was just from the way she wears her hair. "How long have you been here?"

He chuckled and turned to gather up the remaining items, pocketing the phone and wrapping the ridiculous unitard around the game. "Show me the way. I'd appreciate it."

"A game, something I'll never wear and jelly beans that I plan to examine." Naturally. "Which movie was it, if I may ask?"

First he had to escape the hellish bubble room. There were just bubbles everywhere and when they burst, they really burst. He was still damp from the massive one he jabbed hard with his cane, it literally blew up in his face. Yet another reason to want to escape the bubble room.
He was displeased, angsty and ready to throw a proper fit - no matter how uncouth that was - when he opened the nearest random door just to get the hell away from the bubbles and here he was, blank spaces and one wall, just scribbled in words. How odd but, blissfully, not floaty bubble odd. He was ready to back away and try another door, find the exit out of this mess, when he spotted his knight in shining armour. Or, you know, just a really well tailored suit.
"Ed?" The tentative relief was in his voice, so hopeful and desperate, the desire for familiarity over running all his logical impulses as he limped closer without much care. Was that really him?

His smile is bright when he walks over to meet Oswald across the room, so the man doesn't have to strain himself getting to him. "I'm glad to see you here, my friend."
Of course his voice is still rough from the strangling, but he coughs a little in hopes to take care of that. "What a turn of events, huh?"

"I'm so glad that you're here and you're okay." Well, relatively. There was not much he could do about that whole strangling thing. Too late and all that. And unfortunately there wasn't anywhere to make him tea with honey. He pulled back a little, clearing his throat and smiling in a chipper fashion, not letting go entirely.
His hands were on Edward's arms. "This is awfully peculiar. Do you have any idea what's happening?"
