⚡ Lux

[Jesse is curled up in one of the incredibly plush chairs in Lux with a thick notepad on her lap and pencil in hand. She’s redesigning her dad’s pulse rifle (technically her dad’s STOLEN pulse rifle, but it’s his now, because she’s pretty sure no one’s getting it back from him. Especially here), as well as a few other things. Like a bag of holding, something that can hold far more than it should, and a multi-tool that can do a whole lot more than most multi-tools.

Archimedes is frolicking and scampering around her, occasionally clambering up into her chair to distract her owner from her projects when she’s not exploring the coffee shop.

Every so often Jesse takes a sip from the coffee on the table beside her, but most of her focus is on the notebook and her equations.]

[While Sam has very little use for coffee--the tragedy of it all!--she still has a great deal of love for coffee shops. Especially the small, independent kind. Maybe it's the hipster in her, or the long lost desire to be some kind of bohemian artist, but she just can't resist curling up in an overstuffed chair to draw for hours at a time.

So it's a little startling when she walks in to find someone doing just that, right in the chair that she'd been planning to use.

And someone she's never seen before, which is always a luxury, because the damn Clock still makes next to no sense.

Feeling a little awkward, sketchbook under her arm, Sam goes over to a windowseat instead and plops down. Just in time to be noticed by a critter.]

⚡ Oh Christmas tree

[Jesse isn’t sure what possessed her to bring the small (and ROUND, really kind of round) tree back to the loft. But she saw it, sitting there covered in snow and just had to. It’s the Christmas season, so far as she can tell with the way time moves in the Clock. So why not? She’s dragging it back with Archimedes ‘help’, which is more adorable than actually useful.

She’s not entirely sure where she’s going to find decorations, but maybe the Clock will help her out. If not, she’ll just have to improvise a little.]
