Planning Alerts for Australia - what a neat concept.

It's basically an RSS aggregator for development applications in your local area. Even better, it's got an API for getting data back out.

I've just asked the City of Port Adelaide Enfield to have a look, and also the team behind EDALA.

You want this kind of thing? Email your council or land services department today! Write a screen scraper, email an IT department, do whatever it takes :)

It's a geotwitter, basically - applications can read and write information for "where is user X now".
