sine qua non

So I'm like, halfway through Voyager (bf's reaction the other day was 'only HALF? it feels much longer' hahaha and it actually does). We started watching (or in his case, rewatching) the entire thing in New Zealand with the goal of about one episode a day, which sometimes worked out (we had a lot of rain, okay?) and sometimes didn't (when we did not have rain for a change), and sometimes we even watched two and a half episodes before passing out.

Now we're in mid- to late season four—I believe our last episode was Hunters, which was okay but not terrific—, and I mostly love it? I came in knowing I'd love Janeway for all eternity. But I also like Chakotay lots and Tuvok and sometimes Tom and I loved B'elanna early on but for the past season or so she has done nothing but annoy me with her stupid bad moods and crankiness. (Pls fix that, show.) But let's be real, my secret favourite is the Doctor. ♥.♥ I am still at least a bit mad at myself for not hanging out with Robert Picardo when I went to SFB '09. I could've at least gone to his panel, sigh sigh.

I don't really have many favourite episodes yet, which is weird for me. But that might also be due to the fact that almost every single episode in the first three or so seasons was 'Oh look! There's a Thing outside! Let's go look at the Thing!' followed, not ten minutes later, by 'Oh no! The Thing is trying to kill us!" Just. No. >:| But man, I did love the Year of Hell so, so much! Way more than Scorpion, which surprised bf lots. But Year of Hell was just perfect. EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED FROM A STAR TREK EPISODE. Basically. Predictably, I also love Resolutions and have already rewatched it twice. I can see you judging me from alllll the way over there, but I don't care one bit.

And before I forget (again), I'm also a lil bit in love with Seven and kind of wish I had a Janeway doll and a Seven doll so I could put their mouths on each other's. But JFC, Jeri Ryan is still hot, even as a Borg, which as most of you might know is not really my thing to begin with. I mean, she's no Tara Cole, but jeeeeeesussssss.

I have no clue why, but I'm kind of excited for S7. The episode titles at least sound promising? And if the actual episodes end up sucking, I can always go back and rewatch Year of Hell until I die.

We kind of have to hurry up with Voyager a bit, which sucks because I don't want to rush through it, but I also want to watch all of DS9 before I go to FedCon in May. Bf says that like, 95% of the DS9 cast will be there and on the off-chance I end up on a DS9 panel, I don't want to get spoilered silly be the only person there who doesn't know what's going on. This is a huge dilemma! Mostly because I also don't want to pause Voy right now because it is pretty good. But lbr, my favourite will probs always be TNG.
