Medical personnel, check in. Non-medical personnel, you can stop here if you want. Want to get a read on where everyone stands now that things have calmed down some.
FROM: anders@cdc.org
TO: ALL
Besides that, we need a few things: a summary of what you can do, your specialties, your training, and your limitations. Availability couldn't hurt, either.
FROM: anders@cdc.org
TO: ALL
Reminder: you don't need to be Blue to help out with Medical. You don't need to be full time Medical to check in, either. If you're trained, we'll take it. We could use whatever help we can get.
FROM: anders@cdc.org
TO: ALL
We need a proper understanding of what everyone can do and what they're willing to give. It'll help us stay organized, and make sure we all know how to work together when it counts.
FROM: anders@cdc.org
TO: ALL
If you're concerned about privacy, you can contact me directly, if it helps.
[Look, he even capitalized and punctuated all of that to make it more official. It took an extra fifteen minutes, appreciate while you can. The responses won't be nearly as legible.]

Checking in. Assume you're already aware of my specializations. Medical doctor, surgeon, geneticist. Focus on xenobiology; acute understanding of human, other systems.
FROM: solus.mordin@cdc.org
On similar note, wanted to follow up regarding previous inquiry.
[ Downstairs rashes, Anders. You'll never escape. ]
no subject
better to have it written down somewhere. thanks
[HE SEES YOU MORDIN. he sees you.]
FROM: anders@cdc.org
healing them is still off the table, if thats where youre headed. if i do it once, itll be the only thing im doing by the end of the month. ive seen how these things happen

we need people who can help break down the tent and supplies and put them back together fast, in case we ever need to move. we can train you on the procedure. how do you feel about helping with that?

I've got healing magic. Not high ranking stuff or anything like that, but enough that I could deal with nasty wounds. I'll help out when I can.
no subject
got it. thanks
FROM: anders@cdc.org
we can call you in if we need extra hands in a pinch. [Like what they just got finished doing.] unless you want to be in the medical tent regularly. we wouldnt say no

glad to have you. [His instinct is to try and make mages in particular feel more comfortable, even if the reasoning doesn't precisely carry over.] how advanced? any restrictions we should know about? dont want to overwhelm you, but dont want to sell you short either

Technically here. Even if until this month my knowledge was more theoretical than practical.

how much can you handle? theoretical is a start, but for right now im concerned about practical

Healing magic, non-specific. I cannot heal amputation, but depending on prognosis, other major trauma isn't off the table. I can and have worked emergency situations before. Also familiar with preventing and treating common infectious diseases.

FROM: anders@cdc.org
just human disease, or can you cover other species? lets hope all this prevention talk pays off, but just in case

Not checking in, but I'm curious. Whatever help you can get? Really?
no subject
yes, really. the tent is under supplied as it is. not going to turn people away if they have skills to offer
FROM: anders@cdc.org
besides that, theres day-to-day work that needs doing too. people forget that clinics have to keep running after emergencies end. i can only count cotton balls so many times before i go cross-eyed

Armin Arlert. I have first aid training, a little knowledge of field medicine, and I've learned more since arriving here. Whatever you need, wherever you need me, is fine; I'm available.
no subject
FROM: anders@cdc.org
do you want regular shifts in the medical tent? it wont always be exciting work, but we could use the help

I have healing spells and a spell to remove poisons and other illnesses. Curative magic is one of my specialties so I'm pretty good at it.
FROM: estheim.hope@cdc.org
Another specialty of mine is magic that can enhance abilities, so it's possible for me to make the healing magic of others stronger a certain amount of time.
FROM: estheim.hope@cdc.org
I haven't had my magic for long and I definitely don't have any formal training but I have had lot of practice with using it.
Still, although I don't have any limitations-- I can get wore out if I'm constantly using it.
no subject
that gives us a lot to work with. thanks for checking in
[Still, he remembers this name. The world where mages are granted magic, instead of born with it.]
FROM: anders@cdc.org
how do you feel about getting formal training in?
FROM: anders@cdc.org
well, as close to 'formal' as we can get here

Sufficient medical training for 1930s and 1940s Earth. Requires further instruction for more modern methods. Willing to learn. Can do first aid in the field.

more organized than i would have been. mind if i copy it?
[Because he's going to have to compile all this together later, and he's not known for being, well, organized.]
FROM: anders@cdc.org

I have some experience with healing rituals. Not particularly "scientific," perhaps, but my people have relied on these methods for centuries.
If this could be of help to anyone, I would be more than happy to lend a hand.

I have first aid experience and I'm in the process of learning more modern techniques. Aside from our missions, my schedule's usually free.

Banzai, look at all this organization happening here. Does Medical have a group name yet? I have a vote in for Doctors Without Borders: Space Edition.
(2)
And actually contributing to this-- can't do healing magic for shit and I'd rather leave the medical stuff to people with actual medical degrees (that they didn't get out of cereal boxes ftr)
(3)
but I can amplify healing magic? Could potentially take some of the strain off of you magical types.
no subject
too many letters. not sure if youve noticed, with all the messages, but theyre picky about those. good start though
FROM: anders@cdc.org
given that im on the cusp of taking a very long nap on a somewhat disappointing bed, i can get behind anything that takes the strain off. we could use it during emergencies
FROM: anders@cdc.org
we have a lot of different types of magic. are you sure it works for all of them? how soon until it wears you out too?
