So, apparently we're allowed to share our objectives with each other. I have been assigned to neutralize Gliese. What are your orders?

Or are you too busy plotting your revenge on the other team members who called you weakest?
[ Not that Mogget has considered this option. Nope. ]

Observe and neutralize Armada.
No plots here.
[Especially not when she put herself on her own list.]

TO: chidori.kaname@cdc.org
The same, then. But a different target. I don't suppose you have any idea why?
no subject
1) to prove ourselves that we aren't as weak as our peers view us to be
2) to show that despite our weakness we are still willing to put forth our best effort
FROM: chidori.kaname@cdc.org
3) to weed us out
no subject
You're speculating.
FROM: mogget@cdc.org
Although you may be right. A vanity project for Warriorhead. Tiresome.
no subject
Whatever the reason may be it's a job that needs to get done. Just wish the assignment brief was more detailed.
[Does neutralize mean knock out? Or kill? If it's the latter she'd rather just throw the towel in now, and accept the consequences.]
no subject
He doesn't give much away, does he?
[Mogget asked the same question. He didn't get an answer either.]
no subject
Yeah. It stopped being charming a long time ago.
no subject
Yet we must work with the limited information we have. Did you consider that there may be a reason we are allowed to discuss with each other and not with anyone else?
no subject
To conspire together? I have no clue. Maybe since we're all in the same shitty boat it doesn't matter.

Then find out.

thats not very helpful!! i thought we were helping each other
no subject
I don't recall offering help. Observe your target, follow Warriorhead's instructions, and hope for the best.
no subject
then what was the point of this message
no subject
To find out if we all have the same mission. I suspect we do.
no subject
to take out our officers??
no subject
That is the mission for at least three of us. Given the number of officers we have, it seems a likely conclusion.

From the looks of it, we were all assigned an officer. I got Dagger. [ She's not exactly looking forward to it. ]
FROM: dasilva.sharon@cdc.org
Also, who cares who labeled us as weak? They did their job. I know I put a few of us down.
no subject
It seems so.
FROM: mogget@cdc.org
We all did as we were asked. You don't care about being bottom of the pile?
no subject
Not really. I'm kind of used to it, being bottom of the pile. [ In both her lives, Sharon was never at the top; she was always at the bottom. She's used to it. And, here? It doesn't matter if they think she's weakest; she knows she isn't. They haven't seen what she can do. ]
Does it bother you?
no subject
FROM: mogget@cdc.org
That depends on the consequences. I shouldn't like to be given a mission we are intended to fail.
no subject
I doubt there will be consequences if we're meant to fail, which we probably are, but I think it's best to treat it as if we're meant to succeed.
no subject
FROM: mogget@cdc.org
We'll see.
no subject
Yeah, we will. [ But Sharon isn't a fan of this whole waiting game, and it makes her a little anxious. After she sends the text, another quickly follows. ]
FROM: dasilva.sharon@cdc.org
So, you have any idea why we're allowed to discuss this with one another? It seems a little weird.
no subject
I'd suggest a little thing called teamwork. Have you heard of it?
[ Not something Mogget likes to partake in, usually. Mind you, he's had to for centuries so one does get used to it. ]
