I don't know, I haven't tried setting them on fire. Given that they hatch at human body temperature, I wouldn't recommend finding out. I doubt Gliese would be pleased if her eggs were fried.

I can't say I've thought to test that particular method out yet... I know they respond to physical contact (and therefore, I assume, body heat) but as for excessive heat...

I wouldn't recommend it.
