DAY 92-94 | MAILING LIST.
| CREWSHIP NEHEDA'S MAILING LISTS. | |
Welcome! Please subscribe to a mailing list of your choice: ■ CDC Gossip CentralIt looks like the only mailing list you can subscribe to is still just the second one. Any attempts to subscribe to other ones will result in an ERROR! ERROR! ID CODE NOT AUTHORIZED! message. What a ripoff! Where will you get your fix of baharis testing the age-old hypothesis, "If it fits, it sits," now? Maybe filing a complaint to our resident bahari owner will get you access . . . ✖ The address: m02a10mapping@cdc.org. If a character sends a message to this address, it will ping everyone from the scouting crew plus characters who chose to explore camp territory. It will not ping anyone who doesn't care about mapping opportunities. | |
| THE IC MAILING LIST IS NOW LIVE (FROM DAY 92 TO DAY 94). PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SECTOR TEAM ASSIGNMENTS (STAY-BEHIND CREW MAY PUT DOWN "RV POINT" FOR THEIRS) IN YOUR COMMENT HEADERS. | |

from RV point
FROM: takenaka.hanbei@cdc.org
THERE ARE DANGEROUS PARASITES AROUND THE CAMP AREA
FROM: takenaka.hanbei@cdc.org
The file calls them a Dergun Body Nester. No matter where you are, try to find a way to take a really hot or really cold bath!
FROM: takenaka.hanbei@cdc.org
That might get rid of it (;ↀ⌓ↀ) If not keep your nanite gun with you!

In addition, there is a hatched one IN the camp. It's still in the adolescent form, but don't treat it like it's not a threat. It needs to be found and dealt with.
FROM: ctn-0452-9@cdc.org
Preferably before more of us end up infected. The injuries they cause upon hatching are extremely severe.

Our initial landing site in sector five seems to be hills and relatively light vegetation, especially when compared to the mountains we can see to the west. No sign of native habitation so far. Wonderful view of the sea.

FROM: walker.abigail@cdc.org
accidentally stepped on a plant that started yelling at me which wasn't so bad until every other plant like it in a 10 mile radius started yelling too
FROM: walker.abigail@cdc.org
otherwise, the mud makes it hard to get through here without getting stuck
will be heading back out to greener pastures soon

FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
Sector Six reporting an unusual discovery. We stumbled upon quite curious creatures in our treks, of which you can find a photograph attached. They are quite curious little things!
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
So far, they have not been dangerous (one seems to have taken a liking to me), but do be cautious all the same just in case. Still, in comparison to those trying to kill us, this is welcome.
FROM: michaelis.sebastian@cdc.org
Please suggest names, since if it is not averse to it, I believe I will bring this charming creature back with me. Or simply suggest them for fun, even if it is.

Sector Two
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
Don't hug the huge, brown vine plants with purple flowers. They hug back. Don't think the fluffy whatever-it-was enjoyed that. There are a lot of them, too.
FROM: vakarian.garrus@cdc.org
Also don't think I don't see the other listings up there. Again. Who do I need to bribe to get the tech one?
no subject
As an additional precaution, make sure you don't rest anywhere near these vines.
FROM: bott.marco@cdc.org
If you're moving past them, you should be ok, but if you stop for a rest or if you set up your tent too close to the vines at night, they'll seek you out.

Sector Five - Day 92
FROM: parker.peter@cdc.org
In the increasingly likely event that I don't make it back from this mission because SOMEONE insists we have to follow this trail of doom to its final, angry maul-happy beastial conclusions, I'd like to formally compose a will.
FROM: parker.peter@cdc.org
I, Peter Parker the First, wish to bequeath my webshooters to Hange Zoe because steel cables are so 15th century, my photographs to Peter Parker the Second so he can keep wigging out once I am gone, and all my remaining belongings to my best friend, Arcanine.
FROM: parker.peter@cdc.org
That is all.
no subject
This is bullshit. I move that Peter Parker the First be investigated as mentally unfit in his dying days to compose a will in the right mind.

SECTOR FIVE
FROM: pilot@cdc.org
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
He and Lightning have discovered a luminescent fungus that seems to enjoy growing in damp, dark places. We've used some of it to rig a marker for a rendezvous for our mapping team.
CAMP / SHORELINE
FROM: phantomhive.ciel@cdc.org
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
There are some aquatic beasts near the shore by camp that have no understanding of personal space.

Did you get trampled or just make a new friend?

SECTOR FIVE | DAY 92
FROM: pilot@cdc.org
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
Marco Bott and himself have discovered some apparently traveled trails. We're avoiding the natives.
FROM: pilot@cdc.org
We've also discovered a plant that apparently has edible roots. It's purple-green in color.
sector five | d92
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
it's approaching evening and we saw something glowing orange in the water.
FROM: parker.pb@cdc.org
consensus: it's probably a bad idea to swim in to investigate at this time, right?

FROM: stark.anthony@cdc.org
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
Found the flesh-eating plant.
FROM: stark.anthony@cdc.org
Had to see it to believe that there's actually a mean green monster from outer space. But so far it doesn't seem like it can sing in the voice of Levi Stubbs.
FROM: stark.anthony@cdc.org
Nevertheless, I'm petitioning to rename the species Audrey III.
SECTOR 3 | Day 92 | Hour 31:00ish
TO: m02a10mapping@cdc.org
Adult Dergun found in the cliff sides. Parasites are likely in the same area.
[Proceed with caution? Bucky's reports are clinical and sparse, ask if you want more details ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.]

Stay away from the viomora song blossoms, if you can.
FROM: xion@cdc.org
They can be harvested, but it's really dangerous. It ... it did something to my head. I couldn't think anymore, or remember what I was doing...
FROM: xion@cdc.org
They're found in forested areas. They're purple, and they sing. They also release spores, and if you breathe those in, you won't be able to think straight anymore.
FROM: xion@cdc.org
I don't think it can kill you by itself, but it can make you completely vulnerable for anything else that comes along!
FROM: xion@cdc.org
We found this one on the island south of the RV point.

[Very funny.]
FROM: ren.kouha@cdc.org
Oh, and Garrus says don't put it in your mouth, if you're the kind of stupid that would try.
