[ usually kotetsu is the first one to sound upbeat, but even recent events are enough to wear him down. still, it’s not like his words sound completely exhausted despite that being the truth. will they get in trouble for taking a leaf out of red team’s book? only time will tell. dagger’s temperance has always been tricky to predict.

Yo! Kotetsu Kaburagi here. Steve Rogers, d’Artagnan, and I are the Unit Trainers for Green Team, and we just wanted to check up on you guys, see how you guys are doin’. Things have been kinda crazy lately — [ if you listen close, there’s a wry chuckle that lacks the amusement, followed by a quieter, “understatement of the century, huh?” ] — and this is pretty much the first time we’ve had the chance to catch our breaths, so if you need anything, anything at all…

We’re here to help.

Just let us know where we need to be and we’ll be there.

[ D’Artagnan’s voice is smooth, and he says this like he’s been rehearsing it for the last half hour. Which he has; talking on these things still doesn’t come naturally to him. ]

Green Team has a new structure. If you’re in it, you’ll already know that. The three of us aren’t in any one cell, so you can come to us at any time.

[ So far so good. He takes a breath, pausing to glance at the others, and then presses on. ]

I know we’ve had a busy few days, but that tells us that we all have to be ready. We should use the quiet while we have it. [ Anyone who knows d’Artagnan will know he’s not quiet very often. And so, naturally: ] If any of you need to train, or you’d like to spar, you should let us know. Oh, and - Red Team’s ‘best’? Yes, that counts as a challenge.

[ Steve comes in last, speaking with some of the Captain in his tone. ]

Like Kotetsu said, this is our chance to breathe - and to reorganize. Green, Blue, Red, Orange, Grey - if you're willing, we still need your eyes, [ a hint of what might be humor ] especially if you don't mind climbing some trees. If you've already got a patrol shift, keep doing what you're doing.

We can't prepare for everything, but this perimeter is still ours to defend.

[ They can't keep the sky from splitting open, but gods and krakens aren't the only enemies they face out here. The Neraki have proven they'll take advantage of any opening, and who knows how long the remaining tribes will stay quiet. ]
