Any of you not magic types running short on ammo?? I think I can help. Magic type or not.
All I need is sugar. If you have any left over from when we packed get it now.

For those who are new. Hi Im Jasper. Im a fire mage and Im able to enchant small stuff with fire spells.
Crystals hold my spells best. Sugar crystals are great at it too.
[ He almost types 'I made a lot of exploding cakes once' but hastily deletes it. ]

Im going to make enchanted rock candy. Eating one small piece will let you breathe fire for one minute.
It doesnt sound like much but its a lot of fire trust me. You will be like a dragon next time we are called to fight.

So if you got some sugar and want to breathe fire drop it off at rover 14 and Ill make it for you.
I been meaning to do this a while and packed a lot myself. If you have cups or jars or some thing big to boil water in I will share mine with you.
Also if you want to help make it I wont say no but its pretty easy.
It will take a few days to set. Ill give you your portion when its finished.
[ ooc: If your character is giving Jasper sugar, he will handwave-return it to them as enchanted rock candy (note: not actually blue) by the beginning of day 116. In D&D terms, each piece of candy does 15d6 fire damage per round. That means anywhere between 15 - 90 damage every six seconds. It's basically a tiny, close-range flamethrower from your mouth! I'm counting on everyone to be reasonable with how they use it and the amount the get!Looking at you, Erin. Everyone watch their pockets.

Whats fire hands? Sounds like the name of one of my spells.

you can enchant food?
[This is bizarre to him on a whole host of different levels.]
FROM: anders@cdc.org
and its still safe to eat?
no subject
I can enchant metals and crystals. Even sugar and salt. And then I make that into food.
[ Anders must have missed him causing trouble by making hundreds of enchanted death cakes a while ago. Good. ]
FROM: khezek.jasper@cdc.org
Yeah its safe to eat. Most of the time. This one will be.
[ Encouraging. ]

not giving me a lot of reasons to feel reassured jasper

How does someone use this and not burn themselves? Their mouth, mandibles, etc.?
no subject
The spell is crafted so it doesnt burn the user.

If I give you sugar, can you keep it separate from everyone else's sugar? Mine could cause allergic reactions in some people.
[That's provided the transformation even works with dextro sugar. The chemicals might change differently. He doesn't know.]

You told Anders you could enchant metals, as well.
[ Yes, he reads all the other conversations. What of it? ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
What would be the effects on things like bullets? Or base metals, powders etc?
Or jewellery?
no subject
I never enchanted powders before but I can make exploding bullets.
I can put fire spells inside jewelry too. Thats real common where Im from.
no subject
I like the sound of exploding bullets.
[ Is anyone actually surprised though. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
Say you used a necklace, or a ring. How long might the enchantment last and how would it be activated?

How many crystals would 300g make?
[She will so put up with non-sweet tea for this.]
no subject
Not many. Depends on how they form but I would say enough for 6 or 7 uses.
