Availability: I'm on EST! Weeknights, after about 8pm and/or early mornings. Weekends, usually on and off throughout the day. It varies depending on work!
Character: Connor Angel/Reilly
House/Power: Hel, shadow control
Powers OK: You can use any powers on Connor, I'm easy. Characters with Telepathy please see the note for psychics, though.
Violence/Physical Contact: Absolutely anything, besides killing him or permanently maiming him (loss of limbs, etc).
Carryover Skills:
- extensive knowledge of hand to hand combat (even though he's lost his superhuman abilities here)
- extensive knowledge of weaponry. knowledge of demon species, his world's myths and legends, some understanding of his world's magic
- trap-setting and tracking
- apparently he also taught himself how to make and rig crude bombs
Character's Appearance: medium brown hair, bright blue eyes, about 5'10" and slim with lean muscle. His standard expressions are broody, derpy, joking, and this one terrifying smirk that gives you the distinct impression that you are about to be fucked up. He has very simple, functional taste in clothing.
Quirks: He likes to be up very very high. Perching on window ledges, hanging out on rooftops, etc. He is also the world's lightest sleeper. One unexpected/unfamiliar sound and he's up, ready for action. He has no particular sense of modesty, he'll strip off clothes without caring and patch people up without paying any attention to their relative nudity -- and doesn't really give a hoot about physical appearance. This also applies to inhumans. Oh, Connor.
Notes for Those with Psychic Powers (Loki, Telepathy): Connor's head is a hilarious place. It's very very cluttered up, for one thing -- he has the memories of two entire lifetimes that he hasn't had very long to sort through at the point he was apped. One is a (fabricated) normal childhood in a California suburb. A mom, a dad, a younger sister. Girls and little league and struggling with calculus. The other is… terrifying. Honestly terrifying, for pretty much anyone. He lived in a hell dimension for most of the other (real) lifetime, doing nothing but fighting for his life, learning to track and hunt and kill. When he arrived in our dimension, it didn't stop -- severe emotional abuse, manipulation, demons, apocalyptic battles, getting the shit kicked out of him regularly, being betrayed by everyone he loved, etc. He remembers it all, including trying to kill his father and later on himself. There are lingering daddy issues, and Connor is still figuring out how to balance the two lives, so he's probably thinking about horrible things a lot. On the outside he's pretty casual and friendly most of the time, though. And it's genuine. He's trying to trust himself to be his own person and strives to make the most of the present. 'Cuz you never know when the next apocalypse will hit. I'm sure he's very confusing.

**MY APP CONTAINS MAJOR SERIES SPOILERS**
Character Name; Connor Reilly (Connor Angel)
Canon; Angel: the Series - character reference
Canon Point; season 5 finale
Age; 18~
House; Hel! Connor is not only the child of two vampires (yes, his mother was dead when she carried him), he spent pretty much his entire life steeped in death and violence. He went through an extremely dark and gloomy stage as well, discussed below.
Power; Shadow control!
Personality; Connor has three distinct personalities dependent on the point in canon and the memories he has at that time. As he's being apped end of series, I need to discuss all three to fully explain his character! And that means a little backstory! I will try to make this as entertaining as possible.
Connor is the superhuman "miracle child" of Angel and Darla, two biologically dead vampires. (Angel has a soul, unlike most vampires, and though the demon is evil he is inherently a good person.) Shortly after his birth, he's kidnapped by a man named Holtz, one of Angel’s worst enemies, who leaps through a portal into a (literal) hell dimension and raises the child there with the name "Steven." Holtz’s hatred for Angel stems from the acts he committed as a vampire before he regained his soul, a time when he went by Angelus and was known for torturing women. This included Holtz’s wife and daughter. Out of hatred and revenge, Holtz twists and manipulates Angel’s child, turning him into a killing machine and telling him that all demons (especially vampires like his father) are evil and need to be exterminated. Since Connor was born with the super strength, senses, and reflexes that all vampires possess, this comes naturally to him. He’s good at it and, really, killing things is all there is to do in Quor’toth. When Connor is about eighteen, he arrives back on earth... and he tries to kill Angel several times. Eventually Connor finds out the truth about his birth and kidnapping and that Holtz was a liar, and he and Angel wind up in an uneasy truce. He broods in windowsills and on rooftops a lot, but they mostly manage to get along.
Then... the second plot arc of season 4 happens. Technically speaking, Connor fathers the corporeal body of a morally ambiguous god-like being named Jasmine who seeks to create a utopia for her subjects... whom she feeds on to maintain her strength. Connor sees this as a valid trade, as they share a psychic and blood connection and Jasmine has seen for millennia what terrible things the free will of humans brings about. So has Connor, honestly, and world peace sounds pretty wonderful to him. People are terrible, he has trouble seeing good in people with the life he’s had. Since no one is happy anyway, at least if Jasmine is in charge they will be until she eats them. Connor, as the father of her body, is the only one unaffected by the thrall she casts over everyone, and the only one who can see her true appearance (it isn’t pretty). He loves her and devotes himself to her anyway, her only voluntary follower. He later comments that he was raised in a hell dimension so he doesn’t care much about what people look like. But when Angel takes away Jasmine’s control and the utopia is shattered, Connor kills her himself.
After that, he becomes extremely mentally unstable. He was off-kilter to begin with, but at this point is suicidal. Not knowing how to save him, Angel basically signs his life away out of love for his son and sets up a new existence for Connor. Everyone's memories (except Angel's) of Connor and the things his existence brought about are erased, and Connor himself has only memories of being a happy, normal child named Connor Reilly. Thing is, there's no way to take away his superhuman abilities. So one day, his new "parents" bring him to Angel for explanations of his abilities, and yadda yadda he winds up getting the real memories of his life (and his fighting skill) back. So Connor has both sets of memories... and in a display of maturity, decides that he's going to accept Angel's sacrifice and go on living as a normal teenager. Connor later fights beside his father in the apocalypse.
1. Prior to his memory wipe, Connor is an angry, scared, rebellious child. He has issues with authority, has no understanding of his own emotions, and is very violent and sullen. Living in a hell dimension with only his somewhat abusive "father" has left him with no social or communication skills whatsoever -- physical contact still startles him often, he has trouble holding conversations, when he becomes emotional or afraid the instinct is to manifest it as violence or just flee. And he does run completely on instinct! After being around other people for awhile he does develop a sense of humor -- slightly snarky and sarcastic, much like his father. He is extremely independent, basically nocturnal, stubborn and willful, and desperate for love and approval even though he would claim that's the last thing he wants. Being close to anyone, he thinks, is dangerous, because he views himself as a monster not unlike his father and believes his existence has caused nothing but trouble for the world. Connor is a good person who has been severely misled. He'll always jump in to save someone in need, is timid when asking for things for himself, and is extremely curious and intelligent, always wanting to learn.
2. After his memory wipe, Connor shows up as a cheerful, friendly college student with a wonderful sense of humor and a broad smile, who (like his former self) is there because he'd do anything to keep the people he loves safe. He's still curious but much more open to things he's told -- "you have superpowers" is something most people would consider crazy, but after being hit by a truck without a scratch on him, Connor processes this for a minute and says okay. Without the extreme distrust his first self had developed, he's much more able to use logic and think about things objectively. The snafu in his return is that he doesn't want to fight at all, violence is extremely off-putting to him. As much as his former self existed for violence, college!Connor would rather avoid it. But he also has a 'normal' life experience now, whether the memories are fabricated or not. So he's able to read people much better, relate to them better, and process emotions without being overwhelmed… so he agrees to training. He's a sweetie.
3. Once his memories return, Connor is more subdued. He's still friendly and has the second personality's good humor, but becomes much more thoughtful. He listens to reason more readily but is a vicious fighter once again, and has gone back to running on instinct in uncertain situations. Instead of chattering his way through conversations he's quieter, more careful with his words. He knows now that the danger in the world is much worse than he could have ever imagined as Connor Reilly (and he has a vivid imagination) and he needs to fight to protect the people he loves. Which now, openly, include his father. He's able to let go of the abuse of his real childhood and embrace the love he felt in the created memories, to become a functional but useful-in-the-apocalypse young man. He doesn’t see himself as a monster any longer, but he knows that he is not and never will be normal. Interestingly, knowing that he’s basically a vampire helps him settle into his own skin. His identity is less dependent on his past and his nature since Connor knows who he is as a person now, and the knowledge of two life experiences has balanced him out.
This is the Connor coming to Asgard. His major challenge will stem from the fact that he has always been reliant on his abilities (even as personality two) and losing them will be like learning to walk all over again. Luckily he’s resilient and adaptable, used to having to learn quickly in order to survive.

A memory being dragged forth always felt, to Connor, like diving into the ocean. The sudden pull from a deep cold current; the disorientation as he tried to remember which way was up and how to get back out. Then feeling weightless in his own mind, spinning and holding his breath as he floated back up to the surface.
Asgard, the woman had said. Or at least he thought she’d been a woman -- she had been faceless and nearly formless somehow, and the sound of her voice escaped him though the message remained. Chosen by gods, restore the world, the fate of their existence... blah de blah, nothing terribly new to him except that he was only a small part of it. One of many, and it sounded like instead of fighting all he had to do was live. Nothing could be that simple, could it?
Again the rush of memory. It was like the first time he’d seen one, dropping down into Los Angeles and thinking that this was anything but a city of angels. Cold hard concrete, grey and impersonal buildings, filthy paths that empty people traveled on their way to meaningless events in their empty lives. They discussed empty things, he’d thought to himself. Not survival, nothing important, nothing that meant anything. He didn’t feel that way about people anymore, but the memory... it struck him like that deep ocean current as he surveyed Asgard. For some reason he couldn’t focus on anyone, couldn’t hear them clearly, just like the woman who had visited him in that fancy room. They didn’t smell like anything. That was even stranger.
For some reason it frightened him to be here. He could feel the tension coiling in him, spreading up from his wrist where that strange bracelet hung, heavier than it had any right to be. He took a deep breath, and he started to run.
Something was wrong.
It was not calming him. In fact his pulse sped up, his breathing began to labor, and he was too slow. It’s this place, he knew somehow. It’s affecting me, too. He felt grey as the world around him. He ran faster still, until the greyness started spinning around him and he had to rest against a cold brick wall. “Please no,” he whispered into the still air, and no one answered him. Slowly he turned to face the brick, reached up and dug his fingers into little cracks above his head, pulled at his own weight and found his body resisting. He was too heavy. He was... weak. “No...”
As he stared at his hands in despair, the voiceless words drifted back. A new ability. Connor looked up at the top of the building, and wondered what that could be. He knew he couldn’t do it but oddly that calmed him, knowing it was certain. It was just something he had to accept if he was going to embrace something new.
It was a challenge. Asgard itself, he felt, was a challenge. And from the day he’d remembered the ones he’d faced the first time around, Connor had decided never to fail at one again. Never to be weak and give in, give up. He stared at the top of that building, grey and hollow and blurry to his pathetically normal eyes.
“Alright,” he breathed. “I can take you.”
