Some of these items are really confusing to me.

I would be interested, yes. It'll be like those quests I used to go on back in my world.

You've done a lot of these kinds of quests? Most of my training has been war, which doesn't work well in a finding kind of quest.

Sometimes I'd be asked to get back a stolen heirloom, or gather a certain amount of something that somebody needed. One time it was glowing red weeds.

Mostly by killing in self-defense. Greater Daedra and Briarhearts both have hearts that are useful ingredients in alchemy, and sometimes you go into necromancer lairs and find bones and whatnot.

Killing in self-defense is definitely a well-needed skill that most don't realize.
I have to admit I haven't met a necromancer nor been in a lair of one, but that's good to know.

My world could be a dangerous place, especially if you lived the life of an adventurer. Necromancers are just one kind of bad guy I sometimes fought. Though I'm sure there are some necromancers who are perfectly pleasant, who don't use their magic to summon zombie and skeleton armies.

which items are confusing?

I am unclear what a potato battery is, as well the retro computer part, fire grenade, and something that can rewind.

Other items seem self-explanatory, though I am still trying to figure out where to acquire them.

sounds like you must be from someplace low tech. fire grenades were those glass balls we threw at the fires the other month to put that shit out, though.

potato batteries need to be built from scratch. there are metals that react to an acid found in the potato. I have no idea how they're defining "retro" computer part. what's retro to me is current tech to a lot of people I run into in shithole places like this. things that can rewind are usually data devices that store audio or video recordings. it's very outdated tech since nowdays they just make it all digital instead of putting it on a magnetic strip with a finite length.

The lowest of technology compared to most here. My home our fastest travel is a horse, and we use candles and oil lamps for light after the sun sets.

I'd just grab someone from "twenty-first century Earth" if you can and drag them to the market.
