Thanks to violetisblue for the timely Memorial Day link to an article about Donna Reed's war correspondence. I recommend you read the entire article, which is delightful, touching, and a little bit sad. I never know what to say about soldiers and war, because my deepest urges are so closely entwined with them. This charming article brought tears to my eyes, though, because I feel so deeply for all the soldiers who are at war. I still worry about every young man who was in my NROTC platoon, back in 1987. This bit from the article pretty much sums it up:

Because I am in a sharing mood, and because I want to pimp both "Wolverine" and "Star Trek," I have a couple of reviews for you.

Bitchy Jones' mini-review, non-spoilery, of "Wolverine: Origins". Very funny, makes me want to see the movie.

cesperanza's totally spoilery review of Star Trek, containing both squee and fail. I just saw Star Trek, so it was neat to read things I agreed with along with things I disagreed with. Lots of good comments, here.
