He’s wrapped around me like a blanket, asleep.
I can feel his heart against my back, a steady rhythmic beat against my skin.
I can feel his breath at my neck, warm and moist.
I can feel where his lips grazed my ear as he kissed a path into my curls, softly whispering my name like a promise of forever.
I can feel the press of his fingers at my hips, branding me with his need.
I can still feel where he buried himself deep inside me, spreading through me like liquid fire.
I can feel him all around me.

Wrapped around the still warm skin of the man who is his world, Colby's body still reverberates with a slight hum: the pleasant reminder of making love before slumber.
The pull of sleep had been great, the allure of peace after all he's been through greater. Yet he managed a press of kiss to those familiar curls before he drifted away, more than saying I love you, the kiss was a promise of a lifetime of I love yous - a lifetime of sleeping and waking and sharing every day that is the rest of their lives.
