Inspiration
Build a rogue-like where the player fights monsters tied to various pieces of open work such as in progress Jira issues, open pull requests in Bitbucket, and active alerts in Opsgenie. Epic Jira issues might be boss monsters and their sub-tasks might be minions. Players score higher the deeper they get into the game. Keep track of a leaderboard and award monthly prizes based on highest scores.
Build a golf game where each hole is an in progress Jira issue. The longer the issue has been in progress the longer the hole is. Add water hazards, sand traps, hills, and other obstacles based on items in the Development tab. Perhaps each commit in the Commits tab is a sand trap. Each pull request in the Pull Request tab is a water hazard. Have a leaderboard for each hole and award prizes once the Jira issue is complete.
Build an ARPG where the player’s avatar gains levels, and abilities based experience gained by closing Jira issues, approving and merging pull requests, responding to alerts, and writing confluence docs. Each day recalculate the avatars abilities and let the player guide the avatar through a scenario.
