Diversity-training programs purport to teach participants how to be better colleagues to people from different backgrounds and to eliminate unconscious bias and make workplaces more welcoming. But in too many places, these trainings"and the broader DEI structures of which they are part"have instead mandated ideological conformity, enforced with the leverage every employer holds over its workers

A federal officer has shot a man in the leg in the US city of Minneapolis after being attacked with a shovel as he tried to make an arrest, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says. In a statement on X, the DHS said Wednesday's shooting happened after a car chase involving a Venezuelan national who was in the country illegally. It ended in a crash and the driver was joined by two more people who all attacked the officer, it said. DHS said the man who was shot was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Every American deserves to be healthy - but too many Americans are sick and don't know why. That is because their government has been unwilling to tell them the truth. For decades, the U.S. government has recommended and incentivized low quality, highly processed foods and drug interventions instead of prevention.Under the leadership of President Trump, the government is now going to tell Americans the truth. Today, the White House released the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025"2030, the most significant reset of federal nutrition policy in decades read more

The funniest thing about the Secret Service decrying James O'Keefe's honeypot sting tactics -- as "targeted and manipulated" is that sources tell me that Secret Service leaders recently launched their own attempted yet failed sting operation to try to uncover my sources within the agency. In a plan authorized by Secret Service Director Sean Curran himself, I'm told agents posed as journalists fishing for derogatory information on the USSS to try to find out who is leaking to me. The effort failed and provided a lesson for most Secret Service sources inside and outside the agency. They know I would go to jail to protect them -- and that I have not and would never give up their identities

As the people of Iran brave another intensifying crackdown by their rulers after another effort to reclaim their basic rights from one of the world's most repressive regimes, my question is: Where are the protests in the West? Specifically, where are all those defenders of persecuted Muslims who have been so active on the streets of New York, London, Sydney, Rome and elsewhere the past two years? Where are the demands for justice and freedom for the downtrodden victims of a brutally repressive state? What is so different about the cause they have been espousing in their demonstrations over Gaza and the cause of the millions of innocent coreligionists 1,000 miles to their east? Those kaffiyeh-wearing, banner-waving, slogan-chanting activists say they were moved to protest, sometimes violently and unlawfully, by the plight of Muslims dispossessed of their lands and livelihoods, immiserated, starved, beaten and murdered by a savage regime.

That was a good post. As I've observed tendencies on this site one thing jumps out at me - given how prolifically you post you may be the most ignored person on this site. I don't have anyone plonked and on the rare occasions I've plonked anybody it was rare and never lasted more than a few weeks. I see your posts. I quickly peruse them and mostly ignore them because that's what I felt was necessary.

It can be fun to troll sometimes. It can be fun to trade insults at times, ask JPW about that.

Things are best when serious people from differing viewpoints have serious discussions on serious issues. I deliberately used the word "serious" for a reason.

I come here, first and foremost, to make sure I'm diversifying my news and informational sources. To challenge my beliefs. To try and learn and understand ideas from an opposing perspective. Do I ---- around sometimes via trolling, personal insults and being adversarial? Duh! Of course I do. However, it's not the primary reason I come here.

If you really want to change hearts and minds, work for it. At one point in my life I opposed gay marriage. Then i got involved in a chat group about the subject and was put into a situation where I had to defend and justify my views on that subject. The people who I discussed the issue politely broke down the fallacies underlying my position that I hadn't considered. Today I am fully supportive of gay marriage and have been so for years, because caring lefties decided that going through the effort of laying out all of the better counter arguments that supported it was better than "You are a homophobic Nazi!!" The view I had was bested by superior arguments so I changed my view.

If your goal is to influence people to try and see things your way, much more of #7 and much less of everything else. My 2 cents.
