I pruned the trees/bushes outside today~ Aaah, so refreshing. It's so sunny but so cold I want to plant my flowers but at night it still dry-freezes. Nuuu~ Spring, come faster!

I had a weird experience at the gardening store when I went to buy shears before...

When I was walking out I passed a random old man (nearly walked into him on accident) on the street and smiled at him and said 'hello!' as I passed. Then he turned around after a second and started following me, so I started freaking out. Stalker alert (he was kind of creepy looking so that didn't help)! I didn't want to lead him to my car so after a few moments I stopped to see what he'd do and he came up to me and thanked me for smiling at/greeting him. He said people are so rude and grumpy these days it was refreshing to be smiled at kindly by a stranger without obligation so he just thanked me for brightening his mood and continued on his way.
What.;;; That's... nice... I think. But woah he gave me such a start at first. XD; It's true there's a lot of grumps around though, especially in Seattle-area. Everyone is always in such a hurry~;;;

And holy shit you guys, so much wank on my flist over the Usa vs Canada hockey game. Take deep breaths! It's not over, calm down! xD

Also, how did the cute stickers I was looking for end up in the medicine cabinet? I would like to know what I was thinking putting them there. Not thinking at all more likely.

Thaaaaaat's kinda awkward. I say hi to people all the time and never get that reaction...

I think the reaction is rather strange. xD;;; It's nice to say hi to others. ♥

lol so friendly! ♥ but i must admit i'm one of those non-smiley types you'd meet in seattle....

actually if a stranger said 'hi' to me on the streets i'd run for my life. it's lovely living in the city~ LOL

I've always smiled at people but I don't usually greet them verbally too, cuz it could burden them to reply or start conversation which isn't my intention LOL. Greeting verbally is a habit I have to mentally remind myself to break constantly from working too much in Customer Service where you're required to ask how people are/wish them a good day--- it became habit, gah! xD Everyone rushes by so fast in Seattle it's rare to even meet eyes with someone passing tho, lmao. XD ♥

Aww, I can't wait for spring... I feel like I'm being teased because it's incredibly sunny today but still only 6°F. ;;

That old man would have scared me so much... but I suppose that that's part of the problem with cities, and one reason why so many people don't say hi to each other. ^^; I'm glad he was just thanking you, in the end.

I died laughing when I heard we beat Canada yesterday. Talk about a troll. xD

...Maybe... you were thinking of bandaids? Yeah, I have no idea. That's pretty cute, though♥

Yeah here it's 15(c) during the day but at night it's -3(c). x__x Sunny cold is such a cruel tease.

I'm glad it didn't turn out badly either, but he certainly had me on the run from a creeper there for a few minutes! xD;

Ahaha, I laughed when I read one of the articles about it. The coach said he feared the Canadian crowd would get hostile for the win but instead they were too shocked to react. Lmao.;;;

I have no idea. It wasn't anywhere near the bandaids tho, aaah.;;; /fail

I'm glad that the guy wasn't really a stalker! I would've been very creeped out in your shoes as well ;w; /hugs

I KNOW RIGHT things like this make me happy that I don't follow the olympics

I know, phew! xD /hugs

Ahaha, I hear all the results from the news at least. So much rage over sports it's intense.;;;

Home sweet home! /hugs

I know right, the olympics is some intense shit alright.

Omg that's both really sweet but really weird at the same time xD I mean, it's nice that he thanked you for it but was it necessary for him to follow you for that long? Still a nice story though~

And the only reason I can think is you thought of them as cute band-aids? Idk xD

Date: 2010-02-23 02:49 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] evercool.livejournal.com
Yeah I would've preferred he called out to let me know what he was doing, but no harm done. xD

I have no idea, they weren't even by the band-aids. xD;;;; /fail

I seem to be the only one who doesn't want spring yet, haha. It's only February!

That would've creeped me out so bad. XD But I think that's sweet that he thanked you. And cool of you to say hi of course! Even when I'm in small towns, it's really rare for anyone to say hi, at least in my experience. maybe I just have too much of a glare on my face or something, lol

I haven't even hardly heard of this Usa vs Canada. Is it just a normal hockey game?

Well I didn't get any snow, so sad! Winter with nothing but dry cold is too boring for me, lmao. XDDD

Eeeh, that's kind of a shame. I was weirded out when I came to this smaller town area because the people were so friendly, lmao. In the big cities people tend to mind their own business and not saying anything at all. xD

Well hockey is more of a big deal for Canada, it's sort of "their sport" like football is to the USA in that way. So they are all shocked or outraged that USA actually beat them for once. And it's the olympic games so everything is a bigger deal than usual already. xD

No snow does make winter sad. ;A; the south took all out snow this year!! give it back~

I guess the small towns I've been to are really unfriendly...or something. XDD And some of them creep me out really bad, haha. paranoid

Ohhh, the US won? I thought it was Canada for some reason. And the Olympics are still going? Thanks for the explanation! I'm so clueless about sports. X)

Ahaha I say hello to anybody I meet in a 50m radius from my house, only because after twenty-two (!!) years living there I still don't recognize some of their faces and I don't want to look rude if it's actually a neighbor *major fail, but my memory works in mysterious ways OTL*

Coooold gooo awaaaaayyyy!!

I worry about that a lot too! Hahaha. I can never remember my neighbors in public since I don't see them often, but they're all nice. *Is a very quite neighbor* XD

Agreed. :

I try not to smile and greet random strangers...8D

But if they smile at me, I smile back. It's a reflex. XD

I don't usually greet them verbally but I always smile or wave if we make eye contact. It's automatic, haha. xD
