[ kol honestly wouldn't blame davina if she never wanted to speak to him again after rebekah opened her big mouth and spilled all the details. mikaelsons have done nothing but disrupt her life (possibly less than the harvest witches) and treat her poorly. but he hopes against everything that she wants to talk to him. he's had this happen before—the worry of losing her, although it hadn't been as detrimental back then as it is now—and he has hope it won't be any different.

he thinks of trying to find davina around town, but the town is weird and has thrown many of his senses off. then, he thinks of calling her… but calling her and putting her on the spot isn't something he wants to do, either.

he gives it a couple of days, wanting to simmer down from elijah's self-righteous bullshit. ]

Figured I should start it off with that. Seems a bit friendly, doesn't it?

I know you know who I am, and I don't doubt you think that I'm trying to play a game with you. Perhaps it's a little alarming for me to even say that. Don't villains give ridiculous monologues at the end? I know Nik does and I think Elijah does, too, but I honestly fall asleep when he talks.

Elijah's rocked up, and he's informed me that you may have a bone to chew with him. I don't blame you, nor am I here to tell you not to chew it. Honestly, if you could wrinkle his suit a little, I'd be thrilled. But you should be careful around him; he seems to think that you'll strike him.

Long story ridiculously short: I didn't lie to you. I have no intentions of lying to you. I'm usually somewhat and selectively protective over my family, but I trust that you won't try and harm them unless they've harmed you first.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. I'm sorry that I have.

[ that last line was very, very hard to write. he hasn't apologised sincerely for over a thousand years.
