professional bad example

ugh LJ what did you do to break LJlogin and deepestsender. and why is your current default layout so ugly. i actually had to google how to set it back to dystopia. of course that still takes addons to filter all the superfluous crap out, but it's a start.

in other news i ordered an overlock machine wheee. no more worrying about proper seam finishes. because honestly, if i'm going to put the effort into making a garment from scratch, and even go so far as to draft my own patterns, i'm not doing something as unprofessional-looking as zigzagging raw edges. also i had no practical way of sewing elastic materials until now. nope, an overlock is a much-needed investment. though i'm not looking forward to threading it.
