Clara Wiederschwinger-Fischer was one of eight PhD students who wrote their dissertation as part of the TÜV AUSTRIA #SafeSecLab—a scientific collaboration between Austria’s leading testing, inspection, and certification company and TU Wien.

In times of multiple crises, it is natural to be cautious, perhaps even pessimistic. In Austria in particular, people tend to see the glass as half empty rather than half full. However, if governments, companies and private individuals are pessimistic, there will be no more investment, neither in infrastructure, industrial plants nor private consumption. The inevitable consequence is that pessimism then becomes reality and there is a lack of impetus for economic recovery.
