slashdotted is where people look at the website http://www.slashdot.org, which gets a tremendous amount of visitors, they read about a website and go there. The website is only allowed to have so many people visit it each month, because every time someone views the page and clicks on a link, they take up bandwidth, which their I.S.P. notices. If this happens too much, they go over their allottment and their I.S.P. suspends their account until they pay for the extra usage.
