That post about signs got me thinking some: the real danger of people getting left outside is the monsters, right? Has anyone actually done any investigating on them yet?
Theoretically, if they're animals then occasionally showing a little extreme firepower should scare them away from the area, and it wouldn't be as big of a deal. Let alone just thinning out the numbers. But if this IS a game.... then they must have a spawn point *somewhere* they could be traced back to.
Either way, just hiding out behind the walls everyday and hoping they go away doesn't seem to be working. Ha, though knowing my luck someone has already tried and I just missed it.

we should try to figure this stuff out during the day.
it's less dangerous that way and if it doesn't work we can send for back-up and people can actually leave the compound to come help.

Plus that'll give us time to find some more people to help. I'd rather not take any chances we don't have to.

Hey Satonaka, can I ask you something?

i just read what that one woman said and jeeeeez, these monsters sound really dicey.
still... i've got more up my sleeves than you might guess.
[ Privately she wonders how Adachi managed to survive the night if it's really like that. But if he could do it, she's sure she can as well. ]

But what I wanted to ask you about is a little off topic, you mentioning your friends reminded me.
Is there something going on between you guys and Adachi-san?

She's not supposed to tell anyone, technically. Even though she gets the feeling she can trust Atsuro with this, she might be wrong. Chie doesn't like it, but she has to play it safe. ]
no! what makes you think that?
he's just a detective. souji-kun's uncle's partner at the inaba p.d.
he's a little annoying but that's it.
Re: text; filtered
That's not normal if you don't have anything to hide.
I'm not asking you to tell me something you shouldn't, I just want to know if I should be careful around him. He seemed helpful enough to me, but I only had the one conversation with him.

Yes. The simple answer is obviously yes. But that'll bast suspicion on Adachi. How does she warn him about Adachi without spilling too much...? ]
was he seriously doing that? what a weirdo.
but... honestly?
for the most part he's fine.
just really selfish and kind of a coward. he's not the best person, but not the worst either.
don't let anyone (especially adachi-san) know i said that though.
he'd *kill* me for talking trash like that, haha!

Okay.
Sorry if this all came off kinda creepy, what with me following conversations I wasn't even in.
I was just worried. i don't want a friend getting into trouble- this place is bad enough without weird stuff from home causing issues too.

seriously though don't worry, i'll be fine and so will you.
also, it's not creepy. it's only creepy if you use your powers of observation for evil!

Good luck.
[But it's an 'oh man you idiots have no chance' sort of good luck, and you can kind of tell in her voice.]

What would you suggest? I really don't want to stay here sitting on my thumbs and hoping things work out on their own. But I'm really no expert on stuff like this.

That was the point of the first question: I don't want to run off and get killed. But your passing mention of it is the closest anyone has bothered in actually offering some information on what's out there so a 'bunch of kids' DON'T run off and get killed for no reason.
Also: I sure as hell am not planning on staying the NIGHT out there.

And thank you, that's really all I wanted.

As for the actual point- I know it's more serious then that. But as far as I know NO ONE knows how they do or don't react. And those that have been here longer aren't really sharing with those of us that have only just arrived. Or if they have been I totally missed it.

If you know it's more serious than that, then you should take it more serious. That's because many people either avoid the monsters, working against the system in other means, or they shoot to kill. A head shot saves ammunition. Personally, I shoot to kill when it's something larger, otherwise I have a knife and/or a foot to take care of the smaller things.
There's a group getting together to try and research the animals, but I think that they're working with very limited and outdated supplies.
