003 | Day 41 | Night | Video
[The video starts only because Kaworu dropped them communicator. He is clutching to his left arm and – oh, there is something moving underneath his skin. Fun.
While he has no survival instincts, he isn’t a masochist nor he likes having a weird vine under his skin moving around. After pressing it, apparently it stops moving. Apparently] If I cut it out, more will come. What do I do, then? Let it be? Cut off my arm?
[he could let it be, but he doesn’t really want to. Dying isn’t an issue for him, but the vine is under his skin and is bothering him a lot.]

Hey. Plants aren't really my thing, but have you traced it to the root? When you cut it out, how far'd you go?
There has to be somewhere it ends-- like. Inside of you. Cut it from there and you should be good to go, vine-free.
[Easier said than done, sure, but it wasn't that easily said, either. Suggesting someone perform surgery on themselves makes even Dave's steel stomach fuckin' twist.]
I can do it. [Rrrrgh. He's technically cut out parasites before. So. Yeah. He can.]
There were some people claiming more would grow somewhere else in our body if we tried to take it out. It's bothersome to have it in my arm, but it's better than having it on my face. [obviously]

Video:
Cutting into your own skin's really not something you want to do outside an infirmary, kid. Have you tried heat, or cold? Just to hold you over until someone can look at that, y'know?
Video:
[he thinks for a moment] I will go to the hospital, though I don't think they will know what to do. If you try to take it out, another will appear again.
Re: Video:
[Kaidan juggles the smartphone between his hands in an attempt to call up his omni-tool and check whether the Alliance field first aid guide is loaded onto it directly, or whether he was lazy and left it on the extranet... that he can't access.]
If taking it out attracts more, or causes it to regrow... is it spreading, or just hanging out in there? If it's not spreading, try the heat or the cold. Or maybe someone at the hospital will have a way to kill it in situ. Not sure how, I'm not a doctor. Maybe some sort of injection?
Re: Video:
[Kaworu pauses, thinking for a moment about what Kaidan said. If they can kill it in situ it'd be good, but if it has already spread through other parts of Kaworu's body, it'd be troublesome. While it hurts his arm, at least it's no where near a vital area, and Kaworu doesn't want it to regrow in any other area.
The arm is fine for now. But, of course, it doesn't hurt to try the Hospital.]
You are new to the island, right?

[He wants to ask if Kaworu is okay. The answer is painfully obvious though, so he doesn't.]
[He really doesn't want to think about it either. Cutting it out really doesn't work and now it's wiggling in a spot he can't reach. He's worried about everyone else though.]
Because. He just learned what it feels like when someone he loves individually gets hurt. He can't describe it. But he dislikes it a lot.]
How many?

[ Almost a question. Maybe this guy is crazy enough? You can never be sure in this place. ]

People have offered their help with the plants.
audio
Some, yes. But my priority is someone else, right now.
