TEXT ✖ WEEK 13 | DAY 5
[ it's pouring heavily outside today. lily's keeping herself in the residence hall where it's warm and dry and there are blankets and beds and other people.
she'd rather be inside than outside by herself for a change. it gives her a chance to watch the ground soak and turn into mud—she wonders why, among many other things. ]
i've never seen the rain before.
why does it rain?

But it's not bad! It sucks sometimes, but rain helps plants grow and stuff.
voice;

Water in the clouds? …There's water in the sky?!?! And then… because they're so big and heavy, it falls? Oh…
[ absorbent pause. she's getting it— ]
That's really good!! If it's helping plants grow, then that must mean there will be flowers outside too, right?
[ —sort of. ]
But how does water get in the sky?

Good question actually. Did somebody give you a scientific explanation for it yet?
[ not that he'd get it himself...]
Personally, when I was a kid, I believed it was due to somebody in the sky being sad. I think a lot of kids do.
text
but caboose also said it was because the sky had to cry too. he said it didnt have to be just because its sad.... but because happiness exploded on its face.
[ she isn't joking—and neither was caboose. ]
